See, I don't understand why people would leave. It's a website. Lord knows we're nowhere near 4chan or any of those type of imageboards or that, but there will always be the odd ****ing idiot to try and get a reaction. That's all they're after. Reactions.

When they come back and see (senior!) members calling for the moderators head or threatening to leave, it gives them a sense of accomplishment and a reason to do it again. I understand some really nasty stuff went down in those threads but they didn't overstep onto our polite, civilised and rather intelligent footie threads did they? And if they did, aren't we all grown men here? I'm not condoning what they did, (the ****s should be banned) but to get senior members to quit such an established site seems to me a bit too effective? You've put a lot of time into this place, and if GC has a problem, well **** GC, come back here and discuss the beautiful sport. Quitting over a picture posted on another part of the site, or the lack of moderation on other parts of the site is defeatist. Don't let them win. Gary Speed jokes or pictures of Hillsborough will be eventually deleted and that's that. Game over for them, life will go on for us. If they post anything illegal, Mick can just give their IP's to the authorities and then the 13 year olds will do a lot of explaining to their parents and other interested parties.
If someone came into your pub and yelled "Hillsborough never happened" or some bull**** like that, would you quit the pub? Or would you kick him out and get on with your life, with your friends and family? I think i've overstated my point here.


I understand that some work should be put into more moderation but so far every mod I have known has been great, they put in a lot of work but that only goes so far. So I call for patience, this is a relatively new website and except for a few rotten eggs we all get along, even with our counterparts from rival teams. That's my 2 cents and I think i'll end with that.
