You have to be joking, there´s nothing much ´great´ about Britain anymore. :( I stopped being proud of being English years ago. ;) I´m 9½ tenths Viking, now that is something to be proud of. <laugh>

Shame on you, well I'm a proud Englishman and always will be.
What have the vikings ever given to the world? Civilisation? World order? No, **** all apart from rape and pillage although I must admit us Brits have done a fair bit of that in our long and distant past ;)

Yes , I´m sure you are KIO, but if you had left the country by choice in your 20´s, spent the whole of your working life, and the last 42-odd years in a country other than England, you might also have built up an affiliation with that country, too. Naturally I can´t deny my roots, but that doesn´t necessarily mean that I should be proud of them, I´ve been fortunate enough to have seen how one of the other halves lives, and England just doesn´t begin to compare.

Each to his own. :)

Either Cromer was too young or has simply forgotten what dire state the public services were in back in the 1970s under Sunny Jim's Labour Government! Perhaps he doesn't remember the winter of discontent when even the grave diggers went out on strike and refused to bury the dead! And they have the temerity to call the Tories heartless bastards! <doh>

I put it here as it's a non-football related topic and as DH said elsewhere, best to keep anything beginning with the 'P' word all in one place - having not read through this before posting, I assumed it had vaguely political leanings <ok>
 
Perhaps we should send an image of this to that North Korean Despot, perhaps he might think twice before hitting that red button. Yeah I know it's cost a fortune and will be a damn site more when it's sister ships are completed but I for one feel a lot safer knowing our boys have these incredible vessels at their disposal in order to protect us <ok>

We are part of NATO which basically means USA .
Obama just gave Iran the plutonium by the way.
I would put my trust in NATO to nuke Korea or anyone else for us if necessary.
