Evening guys.

I'v had a long, hard think over the course of today, and things need to change, now!

I joined this forum to discuss my love for all things Swansea. It started well, and when a mod was required, I took the plunge and offered my services. This wasn't because I wanted to be a leader, a boss, or better than anyone else, I took it on to make this a better, pleasant forum. While it's been fine for a long time, I find I no longer have the time to read or write about football, instead I'm sifting through pages and pages of fighting ad insults.

We have a cup final next weekend, and what's happening on here? Fighting. We should be discussing a huge game that we are involved in ffs.:mad:. We are the laughing stock of the entire forum!

The appointment of 3 more mods didn't happen, as some of you have found out. This was discussed on the moderator board with the help of other mods (Not Liverpool or QPR btw), and it came to the conclusion that we simply don't have the activity to warrant four mods. When there is also infighting going on at the rate it is, we could undermine eachother and that's just going to cause more problems. You may not agree, but I did. I'm doing this for the good of the board, nobody else.

Can I also add that there are thousands of fans on this site, what sort of image are we giving them of our club? What kid will want to visit Swansea knowing all we do is fight eachother?

There will be an upate on the house rules later this evening, can I suggest you all read it.

If these rules don't change things, Mick will close the Swansea board.

Well said. Some of the stuff here has been straight out of the playground. No wonder Norway ****ed off.

Mods should be allowed to mod. The number doesn't matter it's the fair application of the forum rules across the board that does matter. If a poster or posters don't agree then PM the mod who can explain a decision if it's warranted.

This isn't a democracy. We don't vote on everything. Get used to it. <ok>
 
Good to have you back Dai. Apologies for the 24hour ban the other week, but something had to give and a break was needed for everyone to calm down.

Hopefully we can all now move on and discuss the sport that involves kicking a ball around, beautifully.

I was not implying you were either. It applied to everyone on this board. Fighters or not.
 
Swim, with all respect mate, it's not going to be revealed. I'm trying to get is board to turn a corner, it simply won't happen if things keep popping up <ok>
 
Some questions I would like answered.

Since when was our board run by outsiders ?
Since when do wums ruining a poll are allowed to get away with it ?
Why do we have a mod that time wise is out of sync with the rest of us ?
Why is a poster allowed to call me a
**** and not only get away with it but is then later appointed a mod ?


These question I pose to Ash and I would appreciate it if Ash alone was allowed to answer without anyone else's input even if you are trying to help?

Why at every turn you are having a pop at me and others you don't like ?

Just so you are aware, I am not banned from any board because I do not go onto other boards to wum on the first place. You will not find one post from me on the QPR board. For the sake of this forum why don't you keep your personal feelings to yourself and stop these sly digs. At at time like this we need to bury the hatchet and show some solidarity against the attack on our forum from external sources.


Today in my opinion has been a very sad day for this board, it feels as if democracy has died today. I am still shocked at today's events.

We are having conditions forced upon us by unwanted and external forces. Now resulting in threats being made against us one of which saying that this board will be closed down. These threats are being made by people who have made some massive mistakes today, are unwilling to admit them and backtrack. Instead they revert to bully boy tactics and resulting in the appointment of a mod who has been backed up by QPR wums.

I would by a country mile much prefer to have someone like Dai or Aussie (just examples) as mods if they were voted on fair and square by us, Swans fans and us alone. A simple pm to Ash would have been enough to cast our votes. I did not cast a vote as I thought all 3 would be made mods. I didn't however know about the external factors that would come into play and dictate terms to us.

I apologise if any of you have been bored stupid reading through all that but there are some very serious wrongs that need to be put right.
 
Evening Dill.

1. This board is not, and never will be run by outsiders. There was a discussion, and the final decision was made by myself and brb.

2. I have no say in them. They didn't break the rules as it's a public poll, not private. They may have recieved a warning, they may not have.

3. I can mod during the day, Musty at night. It works well as I'm often not online after 10, 10.30pm.

4. I think it was more of a joke, but he has since apologised on a thread.


Also, with regards to the board getting closed down, this has not been threatened. It's a scenario that could well happen.
 
Maybe a bit of perspective is required here. The Liberty holds 20,000, there's many more who would like to go and on here we have 37 active members.

While it may seem incredibly important, the truth is, it isn't.
