Aye there's not as much going on as when it's at its busiest but it goes up and down and I reckon that even at its lowest ebbs it's not close to being dead.
If you can only remember ten years of struggle I assume that you are either very young, very old or have a dreadful memory. I speak after over 65 years of it. I suggest that you take the few good bits that come along and enjoy them in a way that Fans of, say, MU can never do. Those poor souls can't even cheer for long if they win the Title, but they can feel very aggrieved when they don't. We on the other hand can get very excited at a simple win. So don't knock it, LEARN TO ENJOY IT. Honestly it is possible. By the way, read my signature.
I think there's a lack of variety. Some posters peddling the same views with each other going round in circles. I include myself in that, it's a bit of trap, but it's say the same old **** or don't bother, not sure which is worse. I think it's quite repetitive at the moment.
You're right - the board isn't in a terrible state, and I certainly haven't said that it is (although I can't determine the way that some might prefer to interpret what I said) . . . . I just mean that it isn't as good as I believe that it should/could be Some things should be kept quiet for the good of the board, as far as I'm concerned, but some don't believe in that, either. Having said that, if one party decides to 'go public' and another party to an argument/disagreement believes in privacy, the latter could well be made to look as if he's automatically guilty for saying now't in public . . . which can be 'a bit of a bugger' Petty squabbles (that's a word that isn't often used) can ruin enjoyment and deter participation for some that prefer simply to get on with others rather than to argue pointlessly with or to goad others. Disagreements can create healthy debate, but looking for faults when things are posted innocently can cause a reluctance to contribute for some . . . . and I've seen that happen In conclusion, we could all help to make it better p.s. Smug has created some debate here, hasn't he p.p.s. Is it really annoying to be ignored when goading someone ? I blinking hope so
Well for what its worth I feel the board isn't as bad as some are saying. Yes posts have dried up at times but like others I feel that reflects our poor start to the season and you can see since our upturn on the pitch then this site has got busier. I can't get to games anymore and rely heavily on those lads who go to the matches and report back on here how we actually played and not read the media's version which can be a tad anti Sunderland from some no matter how well we played. Lads do fall out from time to time and I've always tried to encourage posters not to take over threads by dragging them into a slanging match but fully understand why these things happen. This forum reflects society, you are never going to get a bunch of blokes expressing certain opinions without someone having an opposite view and surely that's what this forum is all about. From a personal viewpoint I dont start up a lot of posts but try to comment if I feel I have something to say but more importantly to say something that others on here would bother to read. That's my take on things but it would obviously help if it was easier for those on the outside to gain access to improve what for me is a very important link to my football club.
I had a good chat with BRB yesterday behind the scenes. I'll have a chat with him and see if he can help Smug out
Haha. Still obsessed you ****ing prick. Virtually every post you mention me. Kindly **** of and die. Regards Comm
Didn`t know Smug wanted to be back or the fact that he couldn`t. Apparently it`s changing email addresses that causes the problem. See what brb says mate. If it needs to go through a mod give me a shout.
Will do, Sorry for offending you before, Pops. I should have worded what I said better. I hope you know I've got nothing but respect for you and wouldn't have a bad word said against you. I generalised when I was angry, and I shouldn't have.
I have a lovely pink Ralph Lauren shirt, I used to love it, when it was white. My wife is great at domestic things.
