    England 79 behind on 24-0.

Get level tonight with at least 8 wickets left and it could be interesting.

Great post on the BBC sports app commentary " If Hales gets another plucky 20, that's him in for the next two series"

Cook going at a run a ball.
    Plenty of intent.

    50 up now.

Excellent opening partnership, with Hales really battling well for his 50. Could be set up for a classic.

    Superb fight back from England.
Cook looking good as usual, but an excellent innings from Hales.
Bat them out of the game tomorrow and bowl them out Sunday.
    What can possibly go wrong?

Brilliant stuff from England today, learnt their lessons from the first innings and batted like they did in the last test.If we can manage to get a lead of 250 or better,it will give us a chance of pulling off an unlikely victory. Oh to have a decent spinner in the side !

Draw all over this. Brilliant test cricket. Setting up for a "Historic" final test at the Oval.

Should be good today. If England go well with the bat, do you think there's any chance that Cook would declare tonight? I doubt it, personally.

If they score at yesterday's rate it not impossible that they get 300 ahead. Still would expect him to wait until tomorrow morning though. Would be great to have a tense test which actually goes the distance, and there is a good chance of that.

    Poor shot from Cook.

    England effectively 23-1.

    **** make that 23-2.

    Hales gone!

    Root isn't hanging around.

The outcome of this match could all rest on how he bats in this innings.

Root dropped, how costly could that be? Root and Vince are going well,Vince batting sensibly(how long until he's tempted at a wide one?).If we bat the day out we should be 220-240 ahead, and it will set up a great final day !

This is tiresome stuff from Pakistan. Not bowling to take wickets, more hoping England get bored of leaving wide balls and get themselves out.

England inching along towards safety, lead by 181 with 6 wickets in hand.......2 hours left in the day, get a lead of 270ish and declare, could be an interesting final day.......

England beginning to move through the gears, hope that's not a mocker on Bairstow and Moen, lead approaching 250, another 50 tonight and should be safe to declare and give Pakistan a difficult 5th day to survive.......

Been a cracking good test full of ebb and flow.......

Superb 100 partnership between Bairstow and Moen puts England into the driving seat.
Get 350 ahead in the first hour tomorrow and then try to bowl them out.
