So does the quality of shirt adidas have been providing recently. We've had stripes on the front that look like tyre tracks with a plain back and an away kit where the two sets of piping have been different shades of the same colour despite being in contact with each other. The next year we got a home kit where the amber stripes were a completely different colour to the amber on the plain parts of the shirt so it looked like the striped bits were patches that had been sewn on afterwards and an away kit that looked like Coventry from the 90s with a subtle gloss/matt effect striped pattern built into it. This year our home kit looks like the engineering uniforms worn by the cast of Star Trek The Next Generation, and when we play Bristol City it's going to look like a convention because they've got the red command version (Our away kit is yet to be announced). All of them in previous seasons have been made of material that a high school textiles class would be embarrassed to put their name to, this season's I've not seen in person yet to know.
Not crazy on the pale blue myself. Reminds me too much of Coventry and Lazio. Because of TF, Air Asia and all the significance of the colours in massive markets such as China and Indonesia we will be stuck with a Red and White kit for a while, perhaps as hoops next year. Would prefer the old Red and Black but as first kit will remain Blue and White and third will "Caterham" quite possibly we won't get it.
Just looked on Historical Football kits website and found that Peterborough have got the Dennis the Menace kit as their change strip, made by Nike.
The difference is you have to buy your shirts and its really no different than a pub team or L1 and L2 teams that have nike or adidas. If we can get a proper adidas contract then they will pay us and the quality will be higher. However I doubt they will so we will end up with someone else. Puma maybe. (lol, Ive just seen your shirt.)
Forget the kit, look what's now inside them. I know everyone will hate me for saying this, but Chelsea have the best kit next season. Sorry about that. I really wouldn't say it unless I had to but it looks classy. That really hurt to say. Apologies in advance again.
I won't wear them myself. There's something strange about a forty or fifty year old bloke wearing a kit that says 'Taarabt' on the back.
**** me Nines have you been stalking me again.I'm afraid i'm still a kid at heart and my minds that of a toddler now anyway,so it's off to the shop to get Adel and number 10 put on the back of my shirt!
Even stranger is when is a 50 yr old short, white fella with '****tu' on the back........Its just soooo wrong.
We get paid by them, granted not much compared to what we'd have been getting if we hadn't been relegated from the PL, but unless you're someone like Bayern Munich or Man United you don't get unique kits from them. Even then you're still on a template because us, Stoke, and Bristol City have been getting template kits that the big clubs had the year before. Whilst you're laughing at our shirt though, if you ignore the sponsor (not adidas' fault) that's honestly the best kit they've given us and we're into the 3rd season with them. Even our training gear this year looks like someone is giving the players a reach around and grabbing them on the tit.
ViewFrom had a nice navy with white pinstripes last time we were in the prem, sure it's not that you think of? The white one from the Play Off Final was very nice in it's own way, though a bit to Leeds for my liking I have no issues with any of the new kits. Hoops to thin obviously but there are other positives in the overall design, like the V-neck which I quite fancy. Third kit better than the second which is to simple and simply to red. Last season "plaster-on-sponsor" were a shambles! The Air Asia logo looks smart, would have been fantastic on thicker hoops.
I wear the 1982 Cup Final shirt, just has the badge of the time on and nothing else, understated classic...
As I'm over 12 I shan't be wearing any of our replica shirts but I think it's wrong that the club accepts Lotto just finding any old stock in the back of the shop and lobbing that **** crest on it. Can't be too hard to produce something that is hooped and would probably result in far more sales.
Not quite, I am sure I remember a pink shirt that had Stamford bridge rolling with laughter in the early 90's,
We don't have to play in this, lets all just rejoice ok? please log in to view this image I checked the fabric when I was in the sportshop yesterday, not sure what's worse, the design or the fabric! Terrible, terrible kit.
