We would be playing in League 2 by now if we kept him.

Chelsea wont get relegated, they are experiencing the "bounce" of a new manager. Did you not see their result this weekend?

We won't win the league with what we have in our team right now. With Sturridge permanently off sick we can't push forward; Benteke isn't worth his £35 million price tag; Origi is promising but not quite the done deal at this time. Ings loss is a massive blow as well. Also I can see Coutinho buggering off in the summer.

Leicester have a better set up than us; so for that matter do Watford and Palace.

I'm concerned that the promise we showed under Klopp in the beginning, especially after beating Southampton 6-1 and City 4-1 is suddenly beginning to unravel like a Christmas jumper and if the owners aren't keen to spend in January - and not necessarily millions, I mean on players who can actually ****ing play! - then forget it. We might win a cup. Maybe. It will be a good season for us if we finish 6th.

I knew straight away this thread would invite ridicule as soon as it went up.

"We're 6 points off top with a run of winnable games coming up." FFS !

But it has done worse: it has been a curse and now bottom half is guaranteed in the New Year as we will struggle to get >2 points for the whole of December <whistle>

In that case we'll be 8th. Not a lot of progress under the new manager then or is it still Rodgers fault in a piss poor league :bandit:

I honestly think we would be 6 or 7 points lower at the moment if we still had Rodgers. We would have lost to City and Chelsea for one thing.

We are doing poor. I think one quality striker would make a huge difference. One really good striker this January could make the difference between top 4 and midtable.

Right now we dominate most games (maybe not Watford) but can't score. Teams can pack in defending and wait for set pieces knowing we concede a lot from them.

A good striker would mean they can't do that (if Sturridge wasn't a cripple he would have punished teams like WBA). A lack of striker means teams use counter attacking to hit us. This exposes our defenders more because the field is stretched.

Notice how against teams like City who came at us our defenders looked good? Its because they had assistance from the whole team.

Sturridge is a write off. Origi is backup. Benteke doesn't work for us. Ings is injured. Firm needs more space to operate than is usually given us when he is a forward.

We NEED a striker- even if it's just a loaner... One quality striker is the difference between midtable and knocking on the door to top 4.

Considering the consistent injuries we have suffered this season we are sitting in a false position imo, for this reason I can't jump on the "doom & gloom" bandwagon just yet, we've had our top forward out pretty much all year, his back up in ings injured early and out for the season and benteke not hitting the ground running for whatever reason is a massive factor in where we sit currently, let's not panic and write off klopp just yet, there's no doubt at all that without the injuries to ings, Gomez, studge and the rest we would be well in the mix, even with those injuries we still have a chance of top four and also have a nice 2 legged semi final to look forward to.
Our defence needs totally replaced, only surviving players should be cline & moreno for me, Skrtel, Lovren, toure all gotta go. If we start next year with skrtel and/or Lovren playing we will have the same problems all over again. Skrtel in particular has been a cancer in our defence for far too long.

And Sakho of course <whistle>...........Moreno is still a question mark for me,I think we need a proper, quality left back asap. Even if we keep Moreno aswell,
that position is a weak point
