    Well of course and no offence intended......... but even they ve got to admit that 'guys' in a non or pretend American accent just sounds crap!!

    Used to work with a really irritating twat who would come in (usually late) of a morning and say 'Hi guys' to the rest of the office- at least 50% of whom were female anyway. And yes I know that In the USA its a generic term but that doesn't make it right here!!

    Mind you, they always got annoyed when i called them luv, mate or pet. My reply was it was just a term of endearment & i meant nothing by it.

    I saw a list somewhere that had the results of a poll on which names women did and didn't like being called by men. I'm sure 'love' was top of the didn't mind list. I think a lot find it endearing. It's only the face-like-Brucey, muff-like-Valderrama feminists who object.
