I've stayed in some fine Airbnbs, particularly Warsaw, Caen and Arnham. The only one I disliked was Amsterdam, which had a perpetual pong of rotten cabbage.

When they are done well, they are an excellent alternative to hotels. I'm heading to Arras next month and have chosen a delightful apartment in the centre of town.

Needless to say, I have a flawless reputation as a guest.

You must be referring to the Travelodge at Bromley North.

Chuggers are a real blight to the High St and all round pain the arse.

Ricky Gervais did an excellent sketch on them, pointing out their hypocrisy hassling pedestrians for charity donations when they themselves are getting paid.

    20mph zones :headbang:
Except around schools, which is fair enough.

And especially 20mph zones in areas where all the local drivers ignore them because they know there's no enforcement, but other drivers follow the restriction because they don't know about the lack of enforcement.
That just causes more harm (accidents and dangerous driving) than good.

And all other forms of pointless Local Council tyranny.

It’s got its faults, but it’s by far the quickest and the cheapest way to get to Heathrow.

25 mins from Central London for £13.90.

A black cab in comparison takes an hour and costs £60.

Given the mess your lot are making of things, I am not surprised <whistle>

You need to take out a bank loan to buy a bus pass now.

Jokes aside - I am happy for @Dick Plumb1 to lock this thread, let’s get back to football.

I've had it with Labour - stealing winter money off Pensioners is so despicable even the Tories wouldn't do it.
