Protests won't do it? Maybe not - but they did say the same about protests against apartheid in South Africa and women protesting about not having the right vote and the women at Greenham Common, etc.
I don't think all the name calling was ever expected to change anything - but it probably makes people feel slightly better.
Sell it at their price? Maybe they will eventually or maybe they will just continue to run the club into the ground.

What about Bobby Sands and his brown wallpaper?

How did that turn out for him and his chums?

Not all protest is effective.

Not sure what you mean by 'run into the ground;?

Better frugal penny-pinching than the crazy unsustainable reckless spending of many Championship clubs

OK happy to stand corrected on that front. I also had concerns in the very early days and for similar reasons too. Not sure that being millionaires makes them thick skinned or immune to criticism. I think they are very weak and cowardly. They have not shown themselves to be capable of meaningful or constructive debate. Remember the time Amanda White interviewed Assem and showed him up to be the disrespectful bully that he is. Historically Assem got lucky, very lucky for a number of reasons which isn't necessarily down to being a clever businessman. I know that people will say that demonstrating or complaining won't change anything but I believe people said the same when others complained about apartheid and getting votes for women, etc. Just like them - we will win in the end![/QUOTEAssem never got lucky. He admitted he knew nothing about football and appointed Steve Bruce who did. As soon as they thought they knew better than Bruce then the trouble started. It’s been all downhill since then.

From BBC football website:

"Huddersfield Town made an operating profit of £23.2m for the year ending June 2018 after one season back in the top flight.

The club had made a £21.9m loss for the previous financial year when they were promoted from the Championship.

In the Premier League, turnover went from £15.8m to £125.2m, although wages increased from £21.7m to £62.6m.

This season, Huddersfield are bottom of the Premier League and 16 points from safety with seven games left.

In the Terriers' latest accounts the club said that the amount they owed to owner Dean Hoyle remained "broadly flat" at £49.4m.

The main increase in turnover came from a rise in television and Premier League revenues, which went from £7.5m to £109.8m."

So HTFC owe their owner £49.4m.

He's a fan, but a fan with a £49.4m hole in his pocket.

Maybe he will run them into the ground to get some of it back?

Whilst you're at it compare us to Burnley.

Obviously not all protest is effective. I suspect most protests would not be effective. Some will work though. Running into the ground? Just take a look at the state of the club and how many supporters are disillusioned and no longer attending. I know some have said they are fickle but many have supported the club for decades and have just had enough.

Just like the late 70s , early 80s and all the 90s then. when we were also on a downward spiral

For me running it into the ground means letting it go to rack and ruin.

They're not doing that.

He got lucky right enough and I wasn't even talking about football. Although he did also get lucky in having Bruce pointed in his direction. I'm sure it went downhill before that though - including the way in which Barmby was dismissed.

Hmm, presumably City's figures are bolstered by a) last of the parachute payments and b) transfer fees. Wonder what they will be like now after successive years of falling attendances?

And The Biggest Football Club In The World with a piffling £2.6m profit. Nothing to do with selling there ground then.

I do miss TWTWT and AN.
