Don't go Honeysuckle Farm. We were there the other day. They charge you to feed their animals and then you get bitten by a Goat.

Goats carry e-coli and I nearly bled to death.

I'm alright though, in case you were worried about me.

At least you got a new phone for being brave.

Kids always seem to like Hutton Le Hole. Goathland, Harry Potter station, ice creams, short walk to Birch Hall pub at Beck Hole for a lovely pint. Lion Inn, Blakey Ridge. Climb Roseberry Topping. Seaside off the beaton track, Sandsend, Staiths, Runswick Bay. Glorious North Yorkshire.

Runswick Bay is fabulous - a really lovely beach.

How young are they? On someone's recommendation I took my 21mo daughter to some theme park called Sundown Adventureland for u10s and she loved it. Technically it's in Notts. Not sure 10yo would enjoy it but kids up to 7 probably would.

Apparently it's been there 50 years but my parents never took me.

Taken ours there plus the granddaughter many times over the years. Kids were disappointed when they realised they were getting too old for the place at ten plus. Well worth the trip

The Cecil Beaton track? <laugh> Did you go to the Ryedale Folk Museum at Hutton Le Hole? Took grandkids and was surprised at the interest they showed in everything. Great place to visit. Grandson fascinated more at Goathland when I pointed out it was a station used in Harry Potter. Obviously the Last Of The Summer Wine locations at Goathland meant nothing to grandson but his interest in the police car shot up when I pointed out it had been used in Harry Potter films.
Have you been to the Bird Of Prey Centre at Helmsley? Great place for kids. Always detour vi Helmsley for the best rare roast beef you can get at the deli in the village centre. Don't know if you go that way, but a stop at the cafe by the roundabout at Fimber is worth it. Best value sandwiches and cakes around.

Haven't been very well. Hot weather and an infection brought on problems due to heart conditions, trouble breathing and a visit from paramedics. Been reading to see if any signings etcbut didn't feel like posting.

Last of the Summer Wine wasn’t filmed in Goathland, Heartbeat was though.

Glad you are on the mend.

Don't why I put that, having been to Holmfirth.:emoticon-0178-rock:

Surprising how many Americans and Japanese have seen Heartbeat and All Creatures Great And Small and visit those areas.
