This is one for the Sci Fi Fans, particularly the followers of Arthuer C Clarke.

In 2061 Space Odyssey 3, the author Comes up with the theory that when the Planet Jupiter is turned into a small sun,it quickly uses up its energy and becomes a White Dwarf.
The core of this white dwarf, under the pressure of the contracting Star, becomes a massive Diamond.
Arthur used the password LUCY for this,
Fans of The Beatles will no doubt work out why!!

I have shortend this as much as I can.

Well, much like Arthuer prophesised the presence of water, therefoe 'possibly life' on Europa, has now been confirmed, it seems that this theory too might stand.

A white dwarf star, with a Diamond core has been discovered.

    Arthur C was a genius.
He was the person who worked out that Satellites in the proper orbit would revolutionise communications.
Now, another of his predictions has, it seems, been proven.

Not saying any of this is wrong but people not being able to afford the price of subsidised food in their messes has been happening since they introduced 'pay as you dine' nearly 20 year ago. Known as 'pay as you starve' as the food went from help yourself to as much as you want to small portions.

Can't expect 18-19 year old to budget in paying for their meals over going out getting pissed or buying clothes, electrical products etc...

I look forward to this being completed/released :emoticon-0148-yes:

Sir Paul McCartney says that he has employed artificial intelligence to help to create what he calls "the final Beatles record."

He told BBC Radio 4's 'Today' programme that the technology had been used to "extricate" John Lennon's voice from an old demo to enable him to complete the song.

"We just finished it and it'll be released this year," he explained.

Sir Paul did not name the song, but it is likely to be a 1978 Lennon composition called 'Now And Then.'

It had already been considered as a possible "reunion song" for the Beatles in 1995, as they were compiling their career-spanning Anthology series.

Sir Paul had received the demo a year earlier from Lennon's widow, Yoko Ono. It was one of several songs on a cassette labelled "For Paul" that Lennon had made shortly before his death in 1980.

Lo-fi and embryonic, the tracks were largely recorded onto a boombox as the musician sat at a piano in his New York apartment.

Just checked my NATWEST account and there's a pending card payment of £32 for GTTCSBILL which isn't mine. When I Googled it there's a warning that it's some porno site. I've frozen my card and asked for a replacement.

Worth keeping an eye on people :bandit:

Story from a retired Bank Manager fom just over 20 years ago.

Cusomer and wife come ino their Bank, to complaine about a direct debit that has cropped quite a few times, up on their statement and which no onehas been able to explain.
Had they ask The Branch Standing Order Clerk, she would have known how to find out.
They didn't, They insisted on seenin A Manager instead,
The Manager did ask the Standing Order Clerk though.
He phoned the contact number she gave him, and got the answer.

Back in his Office, Mr & Mrs are waiting.
Desperate not to cause offence, he asked which of them was making the complant.
    I am, said Mr.
In that cas would your wife like to leave the room.
    No, Mr says strait away.,
Nothing you can't say in front of her.
    OK/,

Well Sir, do you watch much late night TV.
    A bit, says Mr.
VERY VERY late night asks the Manager.

At this stage, it started to dawn on him what this was about.
But he was just a tad slower than Mrs.

You Dirty Bast**d, yeav'e beem watch that Porn again hivent ye.
Jusy yea wait till ah get yea home.

    And both left the office.

remember before DD came into our lives?

dad would hand his pay packet over each week, with a bit overtime he could keep a few quid for himself then friday comes and the wife was down the local town to pay the rent, possibly off to redifusion to pay a bit more for the tv then any other bills were sorted and the weekly shopping was done, often wrapped in the brown paper that doubled as a fire starter...the shopping was worked out as each days meals were planned and made to her own order and she might drop a quid here from 'peter to pay paul' so she had a bit spare for a treat of some biscuits, no one ever had any money taken from their account or used to buy stuff online for others.

honestly, it worked so well you wonder why it was altered to this 'identity fraud' rubbish we have to live with now, so easy to end in debt without realising it...at least back then any debt was what you knew about.
