Totally my fault this one however still a bit pissed off nonetheless.. had a pre-payment thing with the NHS for prescriptions so I didn’t have to pay on the day if I needed them. To be honest I only ever got Lanzaprosol every few months so it was a waste of money anyway however missus had set them both up and just continued to pay them. Anyway she cancels hers but in the process cancels the payment for mine by accident, the first I know of it is when a letter comes through the door saying I owe X amount for 3 missed payments. Ring them up and explain the crack, tell them I’m not going to bother setting it back up because I never use it. Case closed… Until I get another letter through the door saying I’ve picked up a prescription without paying for it. Got straight on the phone and explained the situation, basically picked it up in that period in which the payment had been cancelled but they hadn’t contacted me yet.. nothing they can do even though I’d now paid for those missing 3 months - that prescription is the only one I’ve picked up this year and it’s cost me £9.90 plus a £50 fine on top of the monthly payments where I’d not even picked up a prescription
I wonder if this scheme is being run on older pensioners who are struggling anyway, the cons grow every day
How the actual **** can you miss playing football with a ****ing cut on your thumb? Put a ****ing plaster on and get in with it! https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/footbal...zkjs_aem_ojQeGjRBVY0m0amthxq4iA&sfnsn=scwspmo
‘Kin hell. £1800 for a t-shirt and some daft twat will pay it. I used to own a couple of Zegna suits, and still have a couple of ties. Back in the late 90s/early noughties I bought the kit in Italy when it was affordable but very high quality. I must dig the ties out and put them on eBay or vinted. Quite fancy a new Lamborghini with the proceeds.
As we humans have the opposable thumbs thing , this must be affecting his ability to get a good grip on an opponents shirt
Back in the day I remember George Mullhall missing a couple of games by straining knee watching television. Apparently he had his legs up and crossed, putting strain on his lower knee. Bonkers or what.
Female Logic I'm aware I'm possibly in dangerous territory here, but need to discuss the above... The missus has a night out planned on Friday with a friend and former colleague. She's known her for 20+ years and goes out once every couple of months with her. She and I have had a few individual nights out of late and Mrs TC said last night she fancies a Friday night in for a change. No problem I said, just text your mate, explain the situation and that you will catch up with her next time... Simple eh? That's what I'd do with my mates, and I've had other (male) friends do the same. NOPE. That is far too easy, logical and simple. Instead I'm going to invite you to play a game..... So, the friend in question is often unreliable and forgetful. So the missus is banking on her forgetting about this arrangement (it's usually her who has to prompt her mate), treading water for the next 3 days in the hope that no contact will be made. THEN, assuming all goes well she will send her a text on Saturday stating "OH, I've just realised we were supposed to be out last night.....how did we both miss that etc etc?" If the friend remembers and gets in contact, then she's going out, even though she doesn't want to. I'm at a loss to explain the thinking here....
There is no thinking mate....it's female behaviour. It starts at about 14,sometimes earlier, seems to settle a bit during child rearing age, but can always continue through their lives....catty,often hurtful, never relents. I know women in their 70's and 80's who regularly fall out with each other....lads scared to death to upset them.....whoever said they were the weaker sex needs to have a good head shake!
Add to that all the passive aggression that goes on between them. She's "friends" with a number of women on the estate and they all ****ing hate each other. It's baffling
They're always apparently friendly....and then they come inside and they're calling them black and blue! Bizarre!
Then you have Facebook friendships - connecting to someone they despise so they can snoop, then refuse to defriend because "...then she'll know I've defriended her" etc etc
I sympathise with you marra....me and my good lady are not on social media....exposure to nonsense is limited.
She's not as bad as some. Pretty calm in fact, but the logic (or lack thereof) when it comes to female friendships is astonishing at times.
I grew up in a tough environment...which I've often been grateful for...but,whilst there were hard men, very hard,...the women were who I deferred to.
Don’t they say a group of women talk for so long because each one doesn’t want to be first to leave because they think , probably know, that the rest will then slaughter them
