Why do people answer question with "so"? Why do you support Sunderland? "So............" What is it you like about fishing? "So..........."
Annoys the **** out of me.
When they ask contestants on quiz shows what they do or what would they spend the winnings on etc, and they start their answer with "so", I'm always "right you twat, i hope you get knocked out".
Hate it.

Might be the sun coming in, it's well light by then.
Maybe try a blackout roller blind, works for me.
We do have blackout curtains, it's just the last 3 days.
Probably a milkman or somebody going to work, it will settle down, just wish it happens sooner rather than later.
On the plus side its a good excuse for an afternoon nap :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Any one else can't sleep?
Third night in a row I've woken up a 4 o'clock in the morning
No idea why, can't even blame being exited like a kid at Christmas about the appointment of our new head coach.
I used to do that a lot if I’d had a couple of drinks the night before. Gave up the booze a few months back and sleep like a baby now

"Former footballer Joey Barton faces a new criminal trial because of an allegation that he assaulted his wife, judges at the High Court have ruled. Barton was accused of assaulting Georgia Barton in a drunken row outside their home in Kew, south-west London, in June 2021, which he denied.

He was due to face trial at a magistrates' court in 2022 but the case was adjourned after Mrs Barton retracted her allegations. In a judgment on Friday, two senior judges said that Barton should face a trial for the allegations in front of a different judge."

So, it's because it sounds more like a fact than an opinion <laugh>

It's slightly condescending imo, because it makes it sound like the person asking the question couldn't possibly know the answer.

That's why politicians love using it.

Not always tbf.

It's like when people say 'ignorance of the law is no defence' ...

... if we all knew every law we wouldn't need laywers.
No one knows that phrase better than me mate. Although whilst generally correct any lawyer would argue that laws and how they are interpreted and implemented can be defended against or at least mitigated. Obviously
That said, I often wonder if lawyers are more of a hindrance.

Just having a late spring clean and found my old Rock City shirt, years since I've seen it and brought a tear to my eye. I loved that shirt and it really brought back some memories.

White Wrangler with pearl press studs, "double back cuffs' and a button at the neck we never fastened. Wow, eleven years of half a dozen great bands every week and they paid me! It was a great time for music and we'd have Oasis, U2, Faith No More, Pearl Jam, Cure, etc all in the same week and new upcoming bands downstairs like Spin Doctors and Rage Against the Machine,.

I'd show up early and go to the 'bands dressing room' to check on them and see if they needed anything. That was just a ruse to share their catering or play pool with them . Clare Grogan wiped the floor with me <laugh>

I wish I could do it all again :emoticon-0103-cool:

Just decided I'm having it gently cleaned, pressed and framed ...

... sod it, I'm going to be George Best.

That sounded great mate,
I had the denim wrangler and the blue check one, I had them so long they were thread bare, in the end my Mrs cut bits of each one to make one shirt again, I always remember my checky tail stitched onto my denim shirt. I also loved them thick double lined grandad shirts you could get off Morpeth market.

This has to have been one of the coldest, wettest and windiest springs segueing into summer on record.
