    Everton 0-0 Leeds

There have been 31 ****s so far in this game. 31 shots so far. The record (since 03-04) for a Premier League 0-0 is 50 (Man Utd v Sunderland, April 2006).

If a bottom half side beats a top six side it's because the top six side did not play well no matter how good the bottom half side were

...even if the 'bottom six side' is at the time in the top six and the 'top six side' isn't.

When talking about formations, and the use of the phrase "one up top."

As we are on the topic of commentators, one that stands out for me is provided by the wonderful Bill Maclaren who was reduced to be a radio commentator for the 1995 Rugby World Cup. It was at the end of a game in which France had just beaten Scotland - "I have never seen so many Frenchmen kissing and cuddling each other." C'etait magnifique!!

Claridge was always very complimentary about us on the football league show. I used to enjoy watching that because we very rarely lost, much like match of the day these days.

As a summariser, Armfield was like a fine Beaujolais, Claridge is rather like an unpalatable house red!

Hoddle and Claridge are both old school and don’t offer any great insight. Difference is Hoddle thinks he’s clever and Claridge is just a good old boy

Dont know the name, but one of the MotD commentators, sounds like he did Robot Wars too. Him. He has clearly watched the replays through a couple of times before and makes amazingly accurate predictions of what is about to happen on our screens.

I hate that grown men don't know the difference between a crutch and a crotch and that they think there is a body part called a midrift.

    Sweet Lord.
