You have far too high an opinion of Sky Sports. Of course they don't have to be emailed, as long as nobody minds them repeating the error.
I always email about cock-ups like this, I used to get replies from the BBC thanking me for pointing out their errors, but now they just ignore me.
On this occasion I never saw it. Had I seen it there's a reasonable chance I'd have emailed them as I often do. I tend take a scatter gun approach and send it to as many editors, sub editors as possible. I feel it's important to be ignored by the right level of people. As you saw it and it upset you, did you email them, or will you next time?
Lets hope they get it sorted by tonights game or it will be a massive embarrassment and im sure there will be a hell of a lot of complaints if the fudge it up on a live game!
Well then why do we chant, at the top of our voices "And we're Hulllllll City, Hull City FC"??? It's AFC. Yeah it doesn't fit, but if you are going to point out mistakes, you really should make an effort. That or set up a counter chant to correct them. As for correcting Sky Sports, any fans at the Blackpool game tonight might want to try asking them directly, either through one of those pre match "fan interviews" (if they still do them) or by banner/chant during the match).
