They Surrendered

Fair do's - I'm just really grumpy about this today <grr>

Seriously, the new proposal differs from the old one in that they are suggesting sharing ticket money.

Only one team will suffer from this.

It's without precident and even worse than the rule changes that the Argies put in to try and save River Plate.

<beel>

Ah, the Battle of River Plate. Where Geronimo gave Custer the big what for. Didny know the Argies were involved though.

"you Irish clearly can't rule yourselves" Mr T

"you Huns clearly can't rule yourselves" Me

There's the correlation.

The other teams are NOT financially dependant on Rangers - they are being made to believe they are.

They are going to take a financial hit from not having Rangers but most of us took a financial hit from HAVING Rangers.

The new SPFL idea involves Rangers going into tier 2 - most clubs have already said that they will knock this back so the RFCSFA have come back with a new proposal - vote Rangers into tier 2 and we will shove through a rule that ALL gate receipts be shared between the member clubs.

In other words, their votes are being bought - your fans might not like it but we'll line your pockets.

Except...

they're lining their pockets with MY season ticket money.

Somewhat akin (except far more objectionable) to your views on Ireland (again) which, I'm sure, have nothing to do with the team you support.

The running of a fitba club and an entire nation?? Tenuous link at best.....

Must be a sickener that thing about season ticket money, can't say I really care too much because one thing I've learned over the last fwe months is the level of hatred of my club vast swathes of other supports have so my sympathy to any other club or support is nil. If only Rangers had been there to team up with Celtic at any future vote but I guess Celtic don't need Rangers.....

The guys responsible have shamed the rest of us and hopefully they get gang-raped to the full extent of the law. There's been no sympathy for any of us Rangers fans that have had **** all to with this. Personally there is nothing I could have done to alter the current predicament. It's like holding RBS shareholders accountable. We celebrated the good times but nobody at the time had an inkling of what was happening behind the scenes,

Plenty folk have taken huge pleasure out of this and the pain Rangers fans are suffering. I hope they all get screwed over like the Celtic support will if this 50/50 split of ticket sales goes through. I will have no sympathy for the rest of the clubs and their supporters that will ineviitably go to the wall (not necessarily caused by anything to do with Rangers). **** 'em. <ok>

...and the Irish taxpayers couldn't do much about how their government and private investors ****ed up their economy but still you'll pointscore about it.

So what - it's another ****ing thread about Oirland. Isn't the whole point of these threads petty point scoring to try and rile some dafty?

Someone must have severly twisted your tit the day :1980_boogie_down:

Yes, the football authorities of our country with their "Rob every **** and re-order the cosmos to let a team in blue play in Govan" attitude.

It's genuinely without precident and, literally, could not happen in any other country.

Still, at least we're much better and less corrupt than Ireland, eh<pfft>?
