I think you could cut Somma out of that, as the average neutral football fan wouldn't know much about him. Beckford v. McCormack is an interesting one.

Two players you didn't want to sell? <whistle> <doh>
EDIT; well, King Kenny wanted Kasper out. But I assume that was because his personal bank account needed a top-up.

A goal poacher of his class would probably have had us in the top 3 in this season of turbulence .. sadly he left us after we had lost the 1969 cup final and were relegated ... our loss was definitely your gain ...

A neutral who doesn't watch them, may say beckford. But i'm sure Leeds fans wouldn't,and from what I've seen on here,I suspect Leicester fans wouldn't either.

So from a choice of Beckford/McCormack/Somma? Leicester fans would say Nugent?.Are you saying Leicester fans are thick or don't understand the question.

I hate to go against other leeds fans against Leicester fans but saying McCormack is better than beckford is just being bias.

Given the opportunity I would take beckford and he would make it into our first team aswell, we lack pace upfront. It goes in this order for me:
    1. Beckford
    2. McCormack
    3. Somma

Somma isn't in the same bracket of player, when he started he rarely did that much, he's too lazy and that lets him down so much, he has no pace about him which means you have to work hard and he doesn't. He's probably the best finisher of the 3 but relies on service from others without creating anything himself, good first touch as well though

We didn't sell Beckford, his contract ran out and he went to a prem club in favour of us. Which is fair enough, ofcourse we didn't want to let him go but we havn't drastically missed him

Schmeichal, we did want to let go, don't really know how many times we have to tell Leicester fans that he wasn't good enough for us so we sold him and got someone else in who is not only better but cheaper.

Your a serious idiot if you think Nugent is better than any of those strikers.

Nugent is better then them all. Beckford is a goalscorer and will score goals in any divison. But apart from that he doesnt offer much to the team. His work rate has massivley improved but still could be better. Both are guaranteed goals in this league

Never heard of Somma and McCormack is just a fat version of Fryatt. For every decent year he will have a crap year. Next season McCormack wont get into double figures

Well you've clearly never properly watched McCormack play. I'd be perfectly fine with him not getting into double figures because he does so much more for the team. Also loving you're accusation of inconsistent scoring, as Nugent has got into double figures in less than half of his seasons in his senior career and has never scored as many goals in a whole season as McCormack has scored so far this, Nugent has also never been used on the wing for entire seasons at a time like McCormack.

Left of a front 3, not left wing.

Simon can i inquire if you make the pilgrimage to Elland Road every other week from Scotland? If so then i have to take my hat off to you (i dont actually own a hat because i think it ruins my hair which is one of my best features)! Especially with Mr Ken Bates hiking up youre ticket prices!

as a Hull City supporter I would take beckford and nugent ..IF we had those two I'm sure we would have got promoted this season .. I think Leicester and Hull are both decent teams that just need a couple of tweaks to both be up for a top 4 finish next season. also the season is far from over ..

genuine Q here ST, what is fryatt like when not next to a target man? I was always a huge fan of him, possibly his biggest fan of him on here still, yet he offered so little when not playing off howard. A fryatt on form is absolutely deadly, and if he was fit for the play off's v cardiff when he missed the one-on-one or just never got injured, then who knows...

also ST if you dont go up next season, hold onto your stars and you will be ok. Thats what pearson does- he gets young stars who are pretty good good enough, but only get better and every year your squad is naturally stronger. And if they move on? Well, youngsters who are good moving within the championship or from the championship to the prem arent cheap, just look at the bale's, walcott's, in a way mills....
