Liverpool fan here. This won't happen. We are disappointed at some of the performances and the results this season but i'm quite confident that our owners aren't considering getting rid of Kenny. Done a good job so far in my opinion despite some disappointing results. At the end of day, we are a work in progress. No need to sack the manager and then start the re-building process all over again.
It seems that Kenny can get away with murder at Liverpool because he's "King Kenny". Can't imagine how the fans would be responding had Hodgson been responsible for bringing in Carroll , Downing , Adam (Who's having a **** season) etc.
Done a good job??? Honestly. 35M for Carroll. 20M for Hendo etc etc...Your falling further and further back... I'd be gutted.
He isn't immune from criticism. The team he put out against Stoke was far too negative and I think most Liverpool fans agreed that it was. If you look at where the club was when he took over (Think we were around 12th, 4 points off the bottom three, team was lacking confidence etc.) I think he has done a good job.
As I said in my post to the Newcastle fan, look where we were when he took over. Carroll has been a disappointment but I think still he'll come good. (I'm in a increasing minority though!) And Henderson was £16M. And has actually looked decent. Most Liverpool fans expect him to continue to improve and become an important player for our team in the future. It's a work in progress. It'll take time to sort out.
Topper story this one... KD will be going no-where fast....bit like his club really.. Who-ever thought of this story has a pretty vivid imagination, and should be applauded, or carted of to the funny farm...then give me his job....
Why would he want to leave Sunderland to clean up Kenneth's mess? That's a step down, and he'll inherit a squad of ageing feet stampers, nappy sh!tters and never-will-be's with ponytails. It's a non starter boys & girls.
