These links below are for those who want to watch free films, you can watch'em on your puter, you can download'em to your puter, transfer'em to a usb and plug it into your DVD player. The other way is a long usb or HDMI cable from your puter to your telly.

For free films try

and,

need to join to DL on this site.

I chromecast via androd device and use mobdro to mirror all skys channels and more, unfortunately I can't help you with ios capability. For Movies and shows I use cartoon hd (this isn't a cartoon site) fmovies.to and showbox. All completely free.

I've got several NOW TV boxes which I've managed to side load PLEX onto. Can get "unsupported" channels such as Primewire for movies and TV shows but does anyone know if it's possible to get live sport etc onto it ?

£55 for a years subscription bloke gives you 12 hours free to test it. Price is per box though not unlimited cs-empire under plex forum. Been using it a couple of months now, all Sky Sports, BEIN, BT and others..

You can't get modbro on apple stuff yet - you need either an android phone or smart tv - or both(as I have).
All the apps Bucks mentioned are spot on - there's loads more too.
Streaming sports on firestick is very laggy, but the above combination is all good <cheers>

Argos have a sale on Smart TV's - Just bought a 75" LG Smart TV for £900 (reduced from £3K)
Exactly the same TV is on sale at Debenhams for over £4K AND John Lewis for £4,800
EE are doing a smashing deal on LG G4's too - it would cost you £550 to buy the phone, but they are giving you a phone, 4GB per month and unlimited calls & texts for £22 per month or if you are a new customer £11 per month for first year (all 2 year deals) after 2 years, you get to upgrade and keep the old phone.

Not sure if this will help anyone.

As I understand it, the reason streaming through various means has become so popular is that the EU declared that downloading & backing up movies etc. is illegal, however streaming (watching in real time) is not.

Note: I don't think this ruling is going to keep you out of trouble if you 'crack' the likes of Sky Sports.

The other useful think to know is that there currently isn't the capability to 'nab the common man'. They are aiming at suppliers rather than users at this time.

All, please feel free to correct me if I've got this wrong. I don't want anyone being huckled because of misinformation I've provided.

Interesting subject which I have looked into.
It is illegal to stream movies and football because of the copyright, however if the servers are outside of the legal restrictions (as nearly all are) there's not much that can be done.
I know that legal proceeding have been taken against some ISP owners who were ordered to shut down the 30 or so sites that were streaming live football (myp2p, footy doctor, and wiziwig etc) - this cost them an absolute fortune and took 18 months to enforce - since Feb, the 30 or so sites were just moved and now there are over 500 sites that stream - these 500 sites get 8 million hits per week in the UK alone - god knows what there worldwide audience is!!

Sky have tried to overcome this with the Now app, but why would I (or anyone else for that matter) pay £6 for a day pass when I can watch the same content for free?

Could be the end of the £billion tv deal the Prem get - but would that be a bad thing?

Ok, so in toebone-connected-to-the-footbone terms, how do I get Modbro downloaded onto my firestick? Plug it into a pc and go to the android app store?

Okay, I still have normal Sky TV and I have Plex IPTV. I have an Amazon Firestick so decided to give the tutorial a go, I have it set up thanks to the tutorial (cheers TC <ok>)

I tried Sky 1 Sky Atlantic, Sky Sports and two random movies, absolutely unwatchable quality, is it playing up tonight or is that as good as it gets?

Not lag on my end, I have Virgin Media 120gb fibre optic.

I would rather pay Sky £100 a month than suffer what I'm seeing?

Evening Ristac - stupid thing but I was having probs till I used the HDMI extender that came with the firestick. Only about 4 inches long but it slightly removes the stick from the back of the tv, seemed to help.

Seemed to help? I can watch Amazon 4K content fine through the stick but anything on Mobdro is far worse than anything on SD

Just tried BT Sport two, Aussie Rules and everything looks a blur. Tried BT Sport 1 but wouldn't load. Switched to ESPN and Fox all equally as bad.

Sorry if it didn't help, worked for me. Not 100% but good on all channels. Occasional stutter on SS 1, maybe due to volume watching, otherwise great so far on all channels, amd a breeze to use unlike Kodi.

TC, respect. <ok>

I mean you said "seemed" so I take it not HD quality or not great?

Ristac - a couple of things you can try

1) Make sure you have the latest version of modro as there were problems with earlier versions (should be version 2.0.16)
2) Clear your cashe - settings>apps>modbro>clear cache - advisable to do this regularly <ok>

3) Usually there are more than one source for the channels. If one is not working, try another
