Team is an anagram of MATE but if as you propose to replace the A with an I you get EMIT TIME MITE EMIT Protest TIME 2.30 Fans MITE
It is important that nobody sees the protest as rent a crowd or a rabble. Katrien appears to be stupid enough to call in the police to disperse if this becomes unruly and "threatened her family fun day" even if the attendees at the fund day are just the over grown children from "CAST of two". Keep it dignified. I would suggest a minutes silence in memory of the football club but that would devalue the silence before the match. The chants: "we want a real manager, when do we want them - now"; and "We want our Charlton Back" should be heard. All other suggestions welcome.
It threatened to get nasty when she was seen laughing. A few bodies from the back made moves for the front and being... Colorful with their language. She's an absolute idiot though. Why no one confronted her in crossbars, I'll never know. As for the protest, I'd say there were around 300-500. Some bodies swept through, some stayed away from the front. It's a start. Just pitched up to the pub. Come on the bets!!
Talk about lack of professionalism I couldn't believe it when she was at the window taking pics unbelievable arrogance of the woman. Seemed like nearly 1000 at the protest decent start we have to keep the momentum goin can't let the win mean we give up . Want Roland out more than ever.
What was everyone's prediction on protest numbers? I've seen 1000+ mentioned, but personally think that's a bit high. Has anyone confirmed KM laughing too? Bodies on the ground were turning around to yell it backwards, but it was pretty hard to see with glare.
The news shopper had pictures of the KM. I saw it too with my own eyes. The laughing could have been something else rather than about the protest. I went, the downside; it was disorganised and sounded relatively quiet. I also thought 1,000 seems quite high. I think something like 400 would have been more accurate, however people came and went, a lot left when it started to rain at around 2:45. The upside, at least the ball is rolling and something is being done. It lacks real leadership, which if this movement wants to be taken seriously, it needs. It doesn't help that the inept leadership at he CAST didn't help.
She laughed joked took photo it's was bloody disgraceful behaviour by the CEO I'm still seething at her behaviour . She may well say she was laughing at something else BUT she was mocking us the fans simple as that
Meire was pictured in tears before the match, and again at full time. That has come from credible sources (ie food quaffing old duffers) who saw/spoke to her. Amazed given how unpopular and useless she is that she doesn't just resign. Imagine how she felt as she made forced conversation with the Sheff Wed VIPs on Saturday, and outside she was treated to a loud rendition of "Katrien you're a c@@t" and "liar liar liar" Amazed if she stays.
I'm surprised that she doesn't do this bleeding heart story to the press. "I'm a good CEO, it's hard for a woman to succeed in football, and all Charlton fans are misogynists!" I'd be heavily that Duchâtelet and his regime would stoop that low to stop the protests
.............And that was after we had to squeeze our way past all the families enjoying the Fun Day and face painting.
I wandered over that car park and didn't see any of these super fun activities going on. Then again, I've been oblivious to a tonne of **** going on.
Police put the number attending the demo at 1500 We took 1200 to Reading recently - there were more than that in that car park. Sun on Sunday reporter said 1000 I can't understand the mentality of those who walked straight by and went in. I just don't get it.
I anticipate even more going to the next one. It was overall good natured except for when our CEO appeared with her camera, and the singing was positive and pro-Charlton, nothing there to frighten off the more moderate of us. I hope no megaphone appears at the next one.
