Everytime not606 becomes the active tab in Chrome, I get a popup from Malwarebytes saying it's blocked a suspicious website

Anyone else seen this?

Its been mentioned on the mod board before. Try clearing your cookies <ok>

Used to have that problem on Chrome before I signed in and at the time I had Malwarebytes as my security, I read somewhere that one of the sites advertisement's had the same signature/characteristics as a bug known to Malwarebytes.

Changed to AVG and ain't had that problem since.

I'll do that.

The full thing reads:

Malwarebytes Ant--Malware
Successfully blocked access to a potentially malicious website 190.123.47.198

Type: outgoing
Port: 54550, Process: Chrome.exe

From what little I know, that address points either to somewhere in Russia or somewhere in Central America, depending on which website you believe

I use avast. Free and runs better without slowing the PC down as much as AVG <ok>

Well I've deleted all cookies and I'm still getting it, so I guess I can live with it.

I'm running the paid version of Malwarebytes (which is well worth the £20)

I've never paid for a anti-virus, nor have I ever had a dodgy copy. #getavast

Don't use Chrome and I use Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 (free with my bank a/c) - no problems

AVG free all the way baby! & use Firefox, it's ace. Adverts are a thing of the past on youtube and yes even on 4OD etc.

You must log in or register to see images
