http://www.talksport.co.uk/sports-n...avis-guarantee-over-southampton-future-181570 Press spin or what?
Put him on your ignore lest. I have and I don't get angry or want to punch his nose anymore. I do wish, as someone else has said, that people wouldn't use the quote function on his postings as that gets around the ignore function. Anyway when ever I see his name I just quickly skip that posting and go to the next.
Morning Godders! How did you and the lovely Mrs Godders celebrate the win? Did you cuddle round the TV watching MOTD with a cup of something hot?
Absolutely right godders. And people should note that had we lost 4-1, the two main wind up merchants would have been here constantly for the last 24 hours moaning and saying their usual nonsense. We won, and we won well....and hardly a peep out of them. That should tell everyone everything they need to know about their motives. Ignore them, They'll stop.
Yes. It was a large cup of Horlicks our regular evening nightcap with a chocolate digestive biscuit. Interestingly as we walked back from the match yesterday a Villa supporter approached us and asked the way to the Samaritans. He laughed and said the defeat was bad enough but he had left his wife in town with the credit cards and dreaded to the think the size of the dent she would have made in them. We chuckled of course and directed him to the Above Bar so he could find her. I said you'll find her easily as she will be the woman with all the big brand carrier bags. What this guy had done though was to disrupt a conversation the very lovely Mrs Godders and I were having regarding Rickie lambert's performance yesterday and that of Carroll. Rickie's all round game is a delight to watch as he is so much more than just a striker and we were really enjoying him and Ramirez linking play in the second half. They are going to be quite a pairing and I think we may get to see a little more of Adam as a consequence as the creative pressure will be off him a little.
With all this talk of Sir Rickie and Saint Gaston, Mayukas performance slipped under the radar a wee bit. Was anyone else impressed with him? Could be another astute purchase...
I was. He had one great run but was about 3 nanometres offside, then if Guzan hadn't brought him down and he'd scored we would have all said how great he was. Lallana, Puncheon and Mayuka will keep Nigel thinking but having one of those to come off the bench is going to be really important.
Kind of makes you wonder, if Saints now start to settle into this leage, and perhaps get a good mid table finish at the end of the season, will those who questioned the ability of Adkins be worrying about if he's going to get poached by another club?
Lamballana - good point mate Don't see a "Top" side pinching him as he's English and the powers that be know English managers are not any good, you need a Glaswegion or a Jonny Foriegner The only one club I would really worry about would be Liverpool as they have proven that they no longer can attract or afford a top foriegn manager and the lure of managing his home town club would no doubt be too much for NA And who would blame him?
We all would! Think that's true though. Can't see him being tempted by anyone else, He showed a Scunthorpe that loyalty is a huge thing for him.
He was actually very complimentary to Nigel. Maybe he's looking to take a few of our players out on loan down at Bournemouth. It looks as if they need a little help, at the moment. But I can't deny he was accurate and fulsome in his praise.
Don't know whether anyone has written about it specifically but, on MOTD last night, Redknapp mentioned that Saints would do well to keep hold of Nigel, as he is [Redknapp's words] a top, top manager. Now, I have no doubt that, in the future, clubs will come calling for Nigel's services. But we know, He, Cortese, and the Club, are on a bloody interesting journey, where the pinnacle is no less than being as successful, in every sense, as it's possible to be, as a football club. As Nicola said, when one of the Milan clubs apparently came calling for him... what can another club give me that I can't get from Southampton Football Club. The exact same can be said for Nigel.
