He's a dick because you disagree?

That doesn't help much, Taylor is every bit as useless and has history with us too, and Jones certainly didn't escape criticism from Man Utd fans ;)

Just thought it was a poor substitution. We lost our shape with taking a winger off and putting a full back on.

Why didn't he bring on Cairney? Take off Stewart - looking very tired - and put Evans on the wing.

Anyway the youngsters, both team and manager, will hopefully quickly learn form that painful lesson.

I am sorry, But this was clearly Barmby's fault as there was no need to bring Dawson on. He should have either kept it the same or brought on Cairney. The two left backs were clearly not sure who was doing what. Nick is on a very fast learning curve and will make mistakes. His subs in this game were clearly his first. I am sure he will learn and we will improve though. Can't really believe we lost that game!

From E4 there looked like there was obvious confusion between Dudgeon and Dawson, when the latter came on, as to who was doing what.

The confusion and nerves then seemed to spread. In hindsight, another midfield player may have been better, but then hindsight is wonderful. It was not all bad, City dominated for 65 - 70 minutes and passed the ball around well.

Hopefully everyone will learn from this and City will bounce back on Tuesday.

I though Fryatt was excellent and good in his post match interview.

Let's knock the Saints off their pedestal now.

    UTT !

On the Barclays Premier League web site the header of the official match report lists Phil Dowd as the referee but the body of the match report talks about Jones. The match was televised live in Aus and Jones was the ref as I saw a bit of the game.

i was told that TC had tweaked a hamstring in training during the week. with McKenna suspended maybe NB did not want to take a risk.

It was not the sub that cost us the game. The whole team got sloppy and complacent. But it was entertaining.

NB has improved that side of Hull City already.

Barmby didn't know McKenna was out of the Saints game at the time he brought Dawson on! Ultimately it was the substiution that cost us the game, however the team should have seen that through, even with Dawson on the pitch
