If we stay up this season then Swansea would be no better prospect then we are, the only difference being the rapport he has built with the fans and his importance to Poyet's style of play and system, so much so he's a guaranteed starter. He will want the move (if we stay up) and given that he will only have a year to run on his contract Swansea will want to get some money back, seeing as he was once their most expensive player, and that was only a couple of seasons back
I doubt the Swansea supporters would like to see them go backwards and have to rebuild a team around Ki. That's actually quite a problem with Ki in my opinion ..... you build a team around him and he picks up an injury, who do you bring in? His presence is so big that it leaves a big hole when he's out ......... Kidderminster was the perfect example, we looked clueless. If you don't build the team around him he looks lost and ineffective.
A simple solution to that is to buy somebody with similar attributes, composure being the main one, to fill in if he can't play
I agree but that brings about another problem .............. who, that good, would be prepared to sit on the bench with his fingers crossed. If we qualified for Europe we might be able to keep them both happy I suppose.
Yeah, and in any case we'd struggle to find someone quite as effective as Ki, but as long as they are composed on the ball and fit Poyet's style Getting into Europe would not only help with keeping backups/rotations happy, but it would also help in recruiting quality players. ES would have to dig deep if we manage to beat Citeh, or face having a season like Swansea's this year or the horsepunchers last year

Not a chance mate, Swansea only employ managers with girlie hairstyles, scarves & man-bags Word around the camp fire is that Glenda Hoddle is a shoe in and will be there for the match against Cardiff
