Did ki play in the league cup final for swansea? If so good achievement 2 consecutive finals with different teams
That's one way to look at it, but it's the likes of Spurs wanting Poyet, which is a bit more concerning.
Poyet wouldn't leave for Swansea, no way is that even a minor thought to consider. How much do we reckon Ki is worth? They paid £6million, and I guess would have sold for that previously, but realistically, he has now shown he is Premier League class and there will be an uplift. I'd say we are looking £8-10million, and Swansea will take that, given his impact, ability & age, I'd say he can be a big player for years and would pay up to £10 million, personally. The lad is never phased or flustered, and that is as valuable as his ability.
At the end of the season pal Ki will only have one year on his contract so I think we get him around 5m.
Really? They put their at the time club record signing on a 3 year deal? Bad move that. Good information though, and I think the key here is the lad has taken to us, I guess after Celtic it was strange for him to not be so vocally backed at Swans. If we can get him for closer to £5 or 6 million, then that would be a delight. He just looks so ****ing effortless with the ball, and that's the kinda player you need to play proper football.
It was a very bad move pal. I just looked & it was defo a 3 year deal. I didn't think much of Ki when we signed him but fair play to the lad he proved me wrong.
Yeah he looked a bit lost didn't he, but time on the pitch has brought him out. Pal of mine who is a Celtic lad said he'd come good like, but Celtic fans always say that
And everyone else Not only did you lay into him before his kicked a ball for us you laid into him before he signed.
I think we'll be paying whatever we have to to land him. He's settled in perfectly and knows poyet's style. Doubt Poyet will have any interest in scouring the the right player when he's right in front of him. That bloke will make us 20 to 30 million in a few years when the big boys come knocking. Hope we'll be able to hold onto him but these sort of player reach the top.
In England they don't allow deals to be pre-written into loan deals between 2 PL clubs as it could promote match fixing. You can only write pre agreement deals with foreign teams. Just hope Gus does what he needs to get him here permanently. Edit: looks like he's going: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/26013937 Or is it a double double bluff!! Normally these things spell the end of a manager... Particularly in Wales!!
imo if Swansea change managers now they`re taking one hell of a risk. They`re not out of the relegation scrap by any means and a new manager, with all the upheaval that brings (back room staff etc) could make things ten times worse. There`s always the `new manager` syndrome but there`s no guarantee of that either. It seems to me if they do change managers now then they`re largely trusting to luck. With the league the way it is that doesn`t look like a sensible thing to do. I`m not interested enough to look at their remaining fixtures but to change now looks to me like a gamble which could easily come unstuck. End of the season? possibly. If Laudrup stays we may get Ki. If a new bloke takes over and needs funding we may get Ki. How`s that for positive thinking?
