I must admit we were fortunate to walk away with three points from the game against Spurs yesterday. Despite the absences of key Spurs players such as Parker, Van der Vaart and Bale, Spurs took control of the game and managed to make us look like Liverpool. I'm not sure whether or not you guys noticed we had 7 Englishmen in our starting line-up yesterday - not that surprising as we are on the verge of turning into the next Liverpool.
I honestly cannot believe we beat Spurs yesterday. Young was our best player on the pitch according to the vast majority on our board which says a lot if you look back at our team. Judging by our recent performances, we didn't deserve to win yesterday as Spurs played very well in the first half. But, as well as beating them we did you guys a massive favour.
I genuinely hope you guys finish above Spurs, or even knock them out of the top four. Spurs should be back in the position they belong, which is somewhere in the middle of the table. I'd rather see Newcastle in the top four and qualify for the Champions League as they would give their opponents a challenge. Spurs wouldn't last a minute in the Champions League, so what is the point in having them there in the first place? As they proved last year against an average Real Madrid side, Spurs would find it very difficult to even challenge Basel who knocked us out in the group stages.
We've done our bit it's time for you guys to knock Spurs out of the top four. Good luck with it - not that you need any.
