Have liked Soton since seeing them in the Championship playing great football .. but a little too lightweight and getting relegated. Pleased they've come up still playing football.

Mixed feelings about Martinez. He did the dirty on us which will ever rankle with me but, for all that, he was responsible for introducing the continental style of football that has served us so well since. He will always have my thanks for that.

No sympathy whatsoever for Whelan. He shamelessly poached Martinez and deserves relegation if it happens.

I do feel for Wigan's fans, though. Like us, they support a smaller club who forever will face an uphill battle to compete with and survive against the big guns. For their sake I would like to see the back of Whelan so I can root for them to do well. Great respect to the Wigan fans as well for the applause they gave Vorm when he was carried off. They must have been hurting at the way the game was going and fearing the worst but still found time to do the right thing. Good for them. I hope they will be back.

I believe that the crunch game this weekend is QPR v Newcastle. If QPR do manage to win this game and Wigan manage to keep it to a single goal defeat at Arsenal then it will be sweaty palm time for the Toon on the last weekend.

Mind you that's two big IFs as QPR are all over the shop and if the Wigan defense plays like it did 2nd half last night then Arsenal could get lots of goals.

I reckon the scores will (almost definitely not) be:

    Norwich V West Brom 1-1
    QPR V Newcastle 1-1
    Sunderland V Southampton 0-1
    Arsenal V Wigan 3-1
    Man City V Norwich 2-0
    Newcastle V Arsenal 0-1
    Southampton V Stoke 1-1
    Tottenham V Sunderland 2-0
    Wigan V Aston Villa 2-2

Will have a look to see how the table would lookin a minute but certainly I think Wigan are down.
