Watched it last night and actually fell asleep. Not the most exciting episode ever. Have read the books and the whole thing did go downhill really after the Governor gets it. I mean it was still okay, but the Governor storyline is the sort of highpoint of the comic.
I read some of the books many years ago but didn't stick with it, how many books were there?
There are nine hardback ones at the moment I think. Each one has 12 issues of the comics. They also come out in a paperback version with six issues. I'd hazard a guess and say there are 18 of them then
I just looked on Amazon the 20th paperback comes out in March. What I like about the series is some of the changes they have made. The Daryl character is not in the comic at all. Shane dies really early on. Hertzel also doesn't last that long whereas the other old guy that they killed off in season two goes on for ages. The biggest two differences are that Andrea is still alive in the comic and Rick for the most part only has one hand. The Governor chops it off when they first meet. I was wondering if they would do that in the TV show.

Just discovered this on Sky box set and have to say it has me absolutely hooked...which is rare as I don't usually do dramas, especially american ones as I lose interest somewhere in Series 1 and find the whole thing a bit cynical. But this show really is something else (probably bcos it has the weight of a good comic? behind it) I have been through 3 series in about a week. Class show.
Yeah that was really good, need some direction and a nod towards finishing this up before it gets daft.
I'd say it's got a couple of seasons in it if they work toward an ending.
No ending in sight. I carried on reading the books which have become really mental again. I thought the quality really dipped when they got to the place they are just now in the series(Alexandria). They took off again big style though. What comes next makes the governor seem like Julian Clary,
Now that Morgan The Movie is over perhaps we can get on with it.
