Fallen out of favour by all accounts, not sure how correct that is though.

Bellamy had injuries before but never for this long its been about 2 months now

I heard the same Eldon, big bust up it was said, but the rumour mill will be in full swing now, but there seems to be one thing that is obvious!

I feel as though some of my finer points may have been misconstrued due to my having written this in the heat of the moment!
    Please allow me to evaluate:

1- Andrew Taylor - I am aware that Taylor is proving inept at this level of football, and though he was critical to our successes last season, he isn't up to the job in the PL. However I resist too much criticism of him because he was not a new buy this transfer window - we know he is a Championship player and clearly he isn't up to the task. I much prefer the vigour and enthusiasm of young Declan John- I hope he gets more game time.

2- Kevin Theophile- Catherine- When he first arrived I thought he was the bogs dollocks. He looked classy, confident and stylish going forward and he can deliver a long pass. However recently I started watching his individual play after wondering where our conceded goals were coming from.
Take the time to rewatch as many recent matches as possible and note that he is consistently ten yards ahead of where he should be defensively, and rarely gets goal side of the opposing player. Numerous times this has led to opposition teams producing a goal. He gets plaudits for having tracked back and sticking his foot in, but these situations are only created due to his lack of positional awareness.
It is nice to have an attack minded wing back, but recently he has really dissapointed me- along with AT, of course.

    3- Craig Bellamy-
Who do we have in our team to rally the troops? Without the senior figure of Mark Hudson, name one outfield player who is consistently ensuring that we perform to the best of our abilities?
We are struggling like Manchester City without Kompany, Man United without Rooney etc. I know these are players of World-class talent, but their doggedness and determination are crucial to the inspiration of others around them, something I am certain that Cardiff have been lacking recently.

I feel we would improve with someone senior and vocal on the pitch, we are a very quiet side and could do with some grit and passion, though I detest the word. So, where the hell is Craig?

I apologise to other posters for my rant of a post, but I was very upset with the performance today.

I'm not fickle, and I am not jumping on this Malky out bandwagon, but if we fail to record points against Sunderland, we can start to think about worrying.

Many people haven't noticed that the beatable teams we have played thus far, have been away games.
Look ahead in the fixture list, and all the big games against bottom clubs tend to be home games.

    I am optimistic.
    Merry Christmas to all.

There are reasonable arguments on both sides.

Malky deserves a chance because he has done well, and it appears the team performed for him.

The other side of the coin is that we are terrible to watch, and Malky makes some poor tactical decisions.

If it starts to look as if the team is not performing for Malky anymore than Tan has no choice but to sack him I think once we slip into the bottom three, Tan will pull the trigger and most will understand why.

I honestly think we need a formation with 3 central defenders with 2 wing backs and then 3 in the midfield with 2 up front. Our flanks are so poor we should be focus on protecting them.

If we do not buy a left back and add some midfield speed in summer we will go down.

To be fair Uni, watching the highlights last night KTC's position for the 2nd goal was debatable. He lost Rodrigez and by letting him get behind him had no idea where he was moving. It was a great ball and far too easy for Saints to get that quality in. Our left side had let them knock the ball around at their own pace before delivering the killer ball.

I disagreed with the original thread and still do but it was evident from the last 2 games that he tires in the last 15 minutes and his game gets very ragged.

His poor clearance lead to their second goal. If he had got an extra 25 yards on his clearance we would have won.

Also they targeted him with an extra man when Noone went off and he got pulled all over the place.
