I'll stick my head above the parapet. Maybe the Americans have the right idea. If you're going to "re-boot" the club, as they put it, you might as well switch off at the mains and do a proper job on it...
Because, I suppose, it's a bit suicidal to operate a Premier League squad in the Championship following relegation.
Safe hands = Relegation from the Premier League. Bob Bradley manager of Swansea City FC. Our whole first team squad stripped of players. The Yanks themselves admit they have made cock ups. They are now trying to recover the situation on a shoestring and there's plenty more medicine to come. They have FAILED and are now trying to get the Club out of the mess they were significantly responsible for. They may well get us back to the Premiership, but they are hugely responsible for us leaving it. If I'm honest, I'm actually enjoying our football in the Championship thanks to Graham Potter and his coaching staff and wouldn't mind the Club staying here for a few seasons. For a city our size its our natural home. As for the yanks, their success will rely solely on Graham Potter getting us to the top part of the table. Their success relies solely on a man they failed miserably to back in the recent transfer window. Why should he show any loyalty to them when the bigger clubs surely come calling for him?
Do you think it's as simple as that? Each Club will have reasons as to why they got relegated. I feel ours were avoidable.
The inept manager and good player who did not care as long as they get their dosh at the end of the month.......Once relegated they had to make changes and our first change was to get the club to find a good manager that believes in or close to the Swansea way type of football and Potts fitted the bill perfectly.......He will have been told the clubs long term ambition before he would agree to be the manager and including the rest of the management staff they put their plan into action and put the club back to where a club like ours should be.....The wage bill was out of control and that had to come down and we had to get rid of those that was bleeding us dry and could not give a toss.......I am so glad we have got rid of most of them now but there are 2 or 3 to get rid of yet. I agree with Curtis that the young players who wanted to be here are the future of the club........The Americans and Huw and manager and Coaches need to be given the chance and the time to do what they are doing and to be fair we are doing better than expected which has shocked many fans including me.....
90% of your post relates to post relegation. Your only comment as to why we got relegated is "The inept manager and good player who did not care as long as they get their dosh at the end of the month...…."
PGF Do you know what....If we were to win every home and away matches you would still run the club down....
Do you know what. I don't run the Club down. I run down people who use our Club for their own personal greed rather than for footballing reasons
But where is the personal greed with the owners......The past players yes i totally agree but all i can see is the owners wanting to do well and not taking a penny for themselves....
It's about time you grew up David. That statement is pathetic and can only be described as wumming for wummings sake.. You need to up your game if you want to treat the forum like that.
It's time you drop the vendetta against the yanks and give them a chance dont you think.....They have more to lose than me or you....
