I haven't given up, I never believed this side was capable of finishing in the autos anyway, I've been saying as much all season. We can't beat other top sides or in form teams, which makes me think they're better than us. We have some handy players but there's inconsistency and an evident lack of understanding between some players. Compare Quinn and Brady's excellent play with Elmo and whoever plays right midfield for example. If we do drop out the autos as I think we probably will, another pre season and season in the Championship would probably be for the best, get everyone playing as an effective unit and go flying after the title straight from the word go. The only problem I can see arising is who would play the right wing back, as without promotion I can't see us having Elmo another year.
If Cardiff and Hull win this weekend then we are 4 points ahead of Watford with only 15 points to play for - and there isn't much difference between Hull and Watford's remaining matches.
