they are truly screwed as their revenue will have taken a hit as they have had to cut all links with US despite Moshiri being chairman of the board of directors :emoticon-0112-wonde

To be honest PJ seems to be an Everton fan and Tobes seems to be a "whoever is playing against Liverpool fan"... Still can't understand how anyone would chose to cheer for their team to lose just because it inconveniences their cross town rivals.

On their Grand Old Team forum there was a thread about wanting to lose to Man City even if they risked relegation by doing so though tbf most said "don't be silly if for no other reason than we don't have a choice because City will obviously win"

I had that honour a couple of weeks after Tobes, with the birth of my first grandchild. It’s bloody brilliant!

30-40mil or something per year for 3 years unless promoted

this is why i say if they have no relegation clauses in contracts they are morons.

the tv money in the championship is a fraction of the prem obviously its only 2.5mil as far as i can see plus additional every game shown.

this really comes down to whether moshiri can afford to support them or not.

fairly sure most if not all don't have relegation clauses .
Moshiri technically can afford to support them but basically his wealth is intertwined with Usmanov so he may decide it is safer to sell if he can .

It's sad that their only joy in life seems to be trying to prevent us from winning something.

My theory was they're getting relegated to avoid having to see any banners at Anfield about all the trophies we might win this year. Even though, we're almost certainly not getting the quad... Everton are taking no chances and getting themselves relegated as a precaution.

    on everton.....

I think the money loss is massive so i was thinking about the fire sale/bidding war for DCL and Richarilson.

Is there any REAL prospect of a bidding war for both breaking out where Everton could name a price and see clubs match it quickly?

Richarilson: Man utd, arsenal, real madrid mentioned. seems an active agent here so going whether they stay up or not. 50? 70? is he worth anything like that given he is contracted to 2024???

DCL: Arsenal, west ham mentioned. not exactly great is it contracted to 2025. 50mil? 30? has his stock fallen since anchelotti left and injury took its toll?

I can see everton having to sell both and cobble up a forward line if they go down but they will be planning on losing richarilson anyway to balance books.

Even if they sell Richarlison for £80m (unlikely) it won't balance the books!

    well, it'll be a start i suppose.

    from what i can see:

tosun out of contract 60k per week
    siggurdsson out of contract 100k
    delph out of contract 80k
    Kenny out of contract 15k
    begovic out of contract
el ghazi only on loan 30k
van de beek - utterly pointless loan so gone 120k

nearly 500k per week saving right there.

That should free up some money.

    Issues:
Mina - 1 year left on contract so a fire sale
Allan - 1 year left. likely to be let go on a free to see if he will go.

    the millstones:
    mina 120k per week
Gomes. 120k per week. not playing signed to 2024
    pickford. 100k to 2024
Godfrey - 75k - signed up as kid to keep him.
coleman - 70k legs are gone
    iowbi- 50k
    keane 65k
    moise kean
    alli 100k

Its not really that bad if they can get gomes, pickford, richarilson, alli and DCL sold.

The problem is then how to assemble a team to come back up.

    Pickford
    Coleman Keane Godrey mykolenko
    gray doucoure davies gordan
    rondon Iwobi

Not great is it but they can't afford alli and gomez, maybe they can afford to keep pickford.

They will be really hoping they get a couple results and burnely don't beat norwich.

Not sure they could sell Alli without shovelling some spurs way or they made a serious misjudgement when agreeing the terms . I also doubt any English team would actually pay real money for him .
The team you have left wouldn't make it out of the championship imo and the longer they are down there the worse their position gets .
