Personally, I'd have opened a three way pm and mediated. In that message I'd be letting Bart know taking it thread to thread and disrupting uninvolved users won't be tolerated and will be deleted, you've got your chance to say it now, say it. Then let them sort it.

But are mods duty bound to do that? It seems a bit soft to me, ****ing hell I said way worse to Rooch and he didn't ask for a screw to protect him.

Maybe it's just me, I argue til the cows come home on here with some folk (not that you'd know) we'd need more mods than 4 if I was wired up that way... I like Gordon though, he's signed up to my protection agency, so there'll be no more of that **** from Bart.

What 83 done was inappropriate the fact is he'd posted a couple of weeks ago the same / similar images on this forum- I deleted them before they were seen and pm'd asking him to stop - seems to me that being a MOD on this forum is a case of damned if you do and damned if you don't - One more thing I didn't request to be a Mod my name was put forward I said I'd help out if needed - I'll happily step down and down let a Mod with 'balls' take the job

You and Rooch are different, because you're different people which would mean different action. For a start he took it well so it would entirely depend on if the report button had been hit. Each case on it merits fella.

Arguments happen all the time but when it's spreading thread to thread it can cause problems to the overall board, if it does, and it doesn't always, the mods then have a job to do. It doesn't mean banning either.

Doesn't make sense to have them if they don't do anything mate. I'm baffled at the point of having them at all.

I think common sense applies with each case, evidently.

To me, mods are there to deal with reported posts, inappropriate content and to raise ban requests when people won't adhere to the site rules. I've personally never considered them as people I need to tell other people off on my behalf who are attempting to wind me up, there's an ignore function for that and there's also the option of defending yourself.

That's just me though.
