I don't consider a cobbled together consortium of god knows how many interested parties as a viable buyer.
No apology needed Ristac, it was said mainly tongue in cheek, but your replies could be taken either way, try typing before drinking,lo.. Hopkins is a prolific liar, I suspect he's geldered from JA, but not sure, he attacked me regularly and tried to get others on his bandwagon, he hated my replies. He only pops in once in a blue moon.
I don't have blind love for Cellino, My argument can be that you're blind to the good he's done for club. We see things differently from different angles, hardly blind are we....
These arguments regarding Cellino thats dividing the Leeds Utd supporters are just like when Bates got in. Although IMO Cellino genuinely wants to help our club. Cellinos problem is his ego..
Ok I'm drunk and slightly bored on a Saturday night, indulge me, what has he done that is good for the club? In reverse I'll start off by saying that once upon a time we could attract a manger such as Wilkinson to drop a league to manage us and even in the ****ish Bates era we still managed to get Grayson to drop a league to manage us - now we fail to attract a manger 1 or 2 leagues below us
But surely even a tight git wouldn't be an idiot - having spent 35 million to buy us and with promotion worth 170 million that's still 100 million you could spend and still be tight and it still be worthwhile - having spent 35 million and having the chance to make 135 million profit and with 965 million in the bank would you hire David Hockaday?
Just because someone is a billionaire doesn't mean they have a billion plus sitting in a bank account. Most likely huge amount of his wealth is tied up in property other businesses etc. why would anyone mortgage or sell other assets to pump into a barely alive football club. Answer is THEY WOULDNT
I'm getting a headache with all those figures, I'm just your average joe supporter, I have no real interest in the financial side of running the club. I was trying to be humorous. But like I said Cellinos problem is his ego, he'll never admit being wrong.
So why would they buy us? What's the point of buying Leeds (as a massive one city club with a large heritage supporter base) unless you're going to invest in it's future and return it to a proper position where it can repay that investment - it's hardly as if he's done it because he's a Leeds fan?
