First time I went we had stalls at £180 each and the view is okay. The box seats are £40 each, so look for a date way in the future and you will find them. Also order through Delfont Mackintosh site as they are the producers and owners of the theatre and have the best seats available. Don’t use Tickermaster or Seetickets as they have ****e allocation. I use theatremonkey.co.uk to look at view and feedback on seats - hence why I went for box seats as great value for money.
Weekend started yesterday as the kids broke up from school so I went for beers and curry with a few of the other dads. Would have liked a lie in but the boy had a sevens tournament and I’m currently half pissed and knackered. Helping a mate out with a house hunting thing tomorrow morning, kids have cricket training in the afternoon, we’ll probably have a takeaway and watch a film in the evening. Sunday the girl will be dancing most of the day as usual so I’ll do something slobbish with Stan Jr. Must go for a run at some point.
Weather permitting the bairn will be having her helicopter ride today. It was cancelled last time so I'm hoping it holds out for her today.
Few drinks last night for a colleagues leaving do. Just done the weekly shop, gym in an hour or so. Then sit down and watch an afternoon of rugby with cider in hand. Cooking Chilli tonight. Tomorrow depends on the hangover. Tempted to go out for a walk / drink.
Beautiful down here, starting to feel gutted I'm not going to Brighton. Definitely gonna be worth a trip to the New Forest though.
Meh, I got all the way to the airport and the helicopter ride was cancelled with 45 minutes to go. Rebook and go a 3rd time.
Thanks, Jasper. Hugely frustrating but if the pilot isn't 100%, I don't want my daughter and her friend, who I feel responsible for, going up there.
You would be irresponsible if you dealt with it in any other way ( IMHO ). Will this be her first time ? and have you ever been on a Helicopter ride ?
No. I've never been on one. She has been on enough planes but never a helicopter. My brother went on one in New York and he didn't like it at all. I've not told the bairn that, though.
I have been on 3 . One over Niagara falls , and one when we flew from Cairns out to the Great Barrier reef ( That was my birthday present on our honey moon ), third one was just over looking the yeovil air show ground . I LOVE it And if she does as well , better start saving
Best TV weekend of the year; The Masters. All kids, dogs, the Mrs are soundly asleep, couple of hours left to watch. Same last night, even better tomorrow. **** all else of any note worth bothering about. Although I did play golf rather well myself this arvo, which was after junior football. Got minis football in the morning, then a boozy, make chauvinist style, football dinner in the afternoon, which will he followed by the final round. Kevin Radcliffe guest, should be good. Last year was Alan Kennedy and he was excellent. I know it's late but, what the plans?
5 a side footy tomorrow morning. Going to my sister's for Sunday lunch, my nephew's just got in to the Uni he wanted. That's it nothing else planned. Got 2 weeks off now so need to think of things to do with the kids. All I know is it's going to cost me money! Cycling somewhere in the country might be in there somewhere.
Turns out final round will be started early due to storms threat. Which means I either miss it or curtail the evening early. Bit of a ****ter that to be honest! !
