In footballing terms I would like to see England use a high press to stop the Aussies running the ball because once they get up a head of steam they scare the hell out of me. Maybe it’s just me, but over the years it always seems like England players, receiving a pass, are pretty much at jogging pace, making it easier for defenders to get to them before they get up to speed. Whereas the Aussies, for example, are running at pace when they receive, giving them a greater chance of beating the first tackle. But hey, what do I know. Some really good defending, by England, but some is pretty much last ditch. Fingers crossed for the second half to continue in the same way.
Farrell knows how to run the clock down. Nice touch, the ball falling over to use up a bit more time.
