Following the recent change in stance from the ruling authorities over the use of Snoods in the game, Man City has announced that any talk of them relocating to the Far East is purely speculative.

In a joint statement, the club's top executives, the club chairman and chief executive said the talk was "speculative and presumptuous but possible".
In a rare joint statement, Man City's said: "Talk of imminent change in Man City’s position on this matter is entirely speculative and presumptuous but if we can’t dress up these jessies with club merchandise then we’re out of here.
"England continues to be widely recognised as one of the world's leading international football centres, a position it has built over many decades through deliberate policy action and lots of money. We have been very clear that it is our preference to remain headquartered here because we like money."
However, it went on to say that the issue of shaving costs - and a new regulation-imposed Snood ban - was one that concerned its owners, the Arabs.
"We are however, in light of predicted changes such the Snood ban, being increasingly asked by players and suppliers about the likely additional loss of revenue of being headquartered in the UK.”
"We are very clear that the City of Manchester’s competitive position deserves protection and Man City will play a full part in this; we are encouraged by the FA’s recent commitments to do the same but a club should be able to sell Snoods as and when it wishes and the players themselves are the catwalk models for our merchandise."
The club has said the Snood ban is unfair to its business, which has substantial overseas players who can’t deal with the cold.
A spokesman from the FA said clubs had to pay their way: "While we are determined that the UK remains a world-leading football centre, clubs must ensure their fair share of deficit reduction, which is why the FA has introduced a permanent Snood ban costing £2.5bn a year."

Note this may actually be about HSBC…

That's a bit harsh. On the other hand, if you wear a hood when it isn't raining you definitely deserve to be shot.

I think it's a total outrage that they can just stop players wearing a snood - I for one really enjoy watching the different kinds of snoods available these days and footballers always have the latest snood fashions.
It's just more 'red tape' and bureaucracy gone mad...<grr>

Bring back Maggie Thatcher - you really knew where you stood in those days...<ok>

I reckon Maggie would have taken the Joe Kinnear approach with Gadaffi.

Iron Lady: Which one of you is Gadaffi?
Ol Melty Face (Arrys second cousin thrice removed):I am
Iron Lady: You're a ####! Now, where the hell is my fleet?
