Lallana & Sterling aren't working, for me. There's too much knocking the ball around laterally which enables defences to set themselves. We need somebody who can play the 'killer' ball through the defence. Something for the likes of Sturridge, Alli or Vardy to run on to.

As much as i prefer Clyne, Kyle Walker ripped your LB to shreds and was probably MOTM!

I've said it before, but for me, if you're looking to go forward - Walker. You want to shut up shop, etc - Clyne.

One is far better going forward. The other probably has the edge defensively.

Smashed The convicts at the rugby this morning. England now have an unassailable 2-0 series lead. Great win on their territory!

Now, come on England's football team. 'Let's be 'aving you' as Dahlia ( or whatever her ****ing name is!?) said!...

Wales just need to concentrate on winning. If they do that they're through, no matter what happens in the other game...

Interestingly IF we win and you don't then we finish 1st!!!

But whoever finishes 2nd should get Hungary or Austria (unless Iceland manage to finish 2nd in Group F) - so it's a pretty good draw. There's a lot of variables to decide on who the group winners could get - the 3rd place team from any of 3 different groups!

Can't see Croatia not being in that mix ... they were cruising to a second win before their fans managed to fcuk it up for them ... can't see that happening again ... think they are right up there with Spain and Italy on level of performance so far ... also think the Poles look very good too ...

And it is probably Italy they will come up against (too many permutations to be sure). That's who the second team play in the first knockout round. If they beat Spain, it will be Italy v Spain. Tasty.

You could be right about Wales getting France, though we'd need to beat/draw with Russia then beat (probably) a good Austria side 1st!

I think England could beat Belgium, who don't look any great shakes considering the talent at their disposal.

Personally I think England will be a lot more balanced without [the missing link] Rooney

I had you down as having to beat Portugal. They look poor, so I think Wales will edge that. I think Russia are a busted flush and you'll see them off easily.

England v Belgium might see 8 Spurs players on display.

Note sure, Rooney has done will in the middle and would you want Henderson running around a producing nothing?

.. in fairness Wayne has looked good BUT ... and there is a big but ... all very well spraying Hollywood passes around against Russia and Wales who gave him the freedom of the park and were happy to park the bus in their final third ... will he be as effective aganst more pressing combatative midfields within teams actually going for it with attacking flair? ... hope so but I have doubts ...

That said I would much rather have him than Jordan Henderson, who should not even have been in the squad, given the season he has had ...

I just always see Rooney as always having no positional discipline, so sometimes he's forcing his way between the two strikers (if there's two strikers being played in a formation), then he's crowding the centre of midfield, and not offering an 'out ball' or at left back wanting the ball, or running around on the flank leaving a huge gap for others to cover in the centre, then he disappears for long periods before cropping up and doing something. I think he causes the rest of the team to adapt their game to cover for him.

I would add that I would think that Henderson and Rooney would play different positions, and it would be Wilshere as a more natural replacement for Rooney (or bring Lallana in from the right). Henderson I'd imagine would sit deeper and break up play and make late runs, whereas Rooney as been in the '10' spot.

Yeah so putting 2 better full backs and 2 better strikers on is a bad thing?
