And this is why when it came out that Silva was the replacement for Drinkwater and Drinkwater had put the transfer request in I just wanted him gone ASAP as given how slow our club is at getting deals over the line it was clearly obvious that the later in the day it all went there would be problems. I didn't think it'd be this bad though
Only at Leicester . Nothing is EVER simple. Still a done deal just, going to take longer. Worst case January.
Sky saying its been rejected http://www.skysports.com/football/n...ocumentation-on-adrien-silva-rejected-by-fifa Seems an odd situation if both clubs agreed and paperwork was filed. He'd probably train with us regardless, just won't be able to play till January. Probably havn't backhanded enough money to Fifa yet.
What a farce. We need someone now as the midfield is weak. The season could be effectively over in terms of anything good League wise by Jan. We could be in a relegation battle. Oh well FA cup will do and he'll be available for the start of that
To clarify Adrien Silva is a Leicester player. Nothing can change that Fifa however if they dont accept his registration it will mean he cant play for us until January
From what I have read the problem seems to lie with Sporting's filing of the Certificate of Transfer ... let's hope it can be sorted.
Upto Leicester to prove that it was all submitted 15 seconds before they received it Dorsett reckons that we havn't paid yet, so he'd go back to Sporting until January.
Words fail me. Seriously, only we could manage to !@#$ up something to this scale. Who's bloody watch were they using? I'd like to think common sense could prevail but it's FIFA. I'd bet that if this was a Man U transfer it would've been sanctioned. @MIAMI_FOX You've a bigger storm than this to deal with, stay safe buddy.
Foxy. you took the words right out of my mouth! Can you imagine FIFA telling Man Utd, sorry you're 14 seconds too late! So is he our player or not? If he is, then it's a done deal and should be able to play for us. If not, then he is still a Sporting Lisbon player and he plays for them. How can they say he is a Leicester player, but can't play until January?! There can't be any middle ground on this one.
The FA have now got involved trying to get FIFA to sanction the deal Sporting have called for FIFA to use common sense
From what I've read, unfortunately there can. He can be our player but not cleared to play. That's what's being said at the moment, transfer has gone through but he's not registered to play for us.
