The Virtual Betting Shop is not a competition. It is simply to facilitate your virtual betting. If you wish to avail yourself of this facility you can set up your virtual account any time by depositing a virtual £1000 During each Flat/NH season one deposit of £1000 may be made but, apart from these, no other deposits are allowed; it is advised therefore to keep to a reasonable staking plan You may bet in any of the races at meetings in UK and Ireland plus selected overseas races (see below). Singles only (win, ew, place only). No ante-post betting Bets on other sporting events may also be placed subject to certain conditions (see below) Note. These Rules apply to the New Virtual Betting Shop which re-opened in November 2019 and was extended to include NH AND Flat racing. The first bet at the re-opened VBS is here Please state Selection (by name), Race meeting and time plus Stake and Type of bet (and if applicable, the odds). You must state the amount you are staking (No "All in" bets allowed and will be voided). If the amount of stake stated is more than the balance available in your account the stake will be reduced to the whole of the remaining balance Bets will be settled at SP unless early odds are taken (use best prices quoted on Oddschecker). BOG will apply Standard rules for dead heats. Rule 4 is ignored Selected overseas races. You may also bet in overseas races displayed on Oddschecker All place bets will be at 1/4 odds and will apply as follows: 4 runners or less No place betting allowed 5-7 runners 1st and 2nd one quarter the odds 8+ runners 1st, 2nd and 3rd one quarter odds Handicaps 16 or more runners 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th one quarter odds Handicaps 20 or more runners 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th one quarter odds Number of runners for determining odds will be the number of runners as stated in the Racing Post Results Bets on other sporting events I can take bets on other sporting events but with the following conditions: 1. It has to be a straight single win bet with the only possible outcomes of the bet being Won or Lost 2. The bet will be calculated based on the odds available at the time bet is placed, and quoted with the bet, along with date of event Eg Dec 20 Boxing £1,000 win Canelo Alvarez at 2/9. The addition of Round and reason for stoppage may be added but it would have to be abbreviated Eg Canelo Alvarez Rnd 9 KO Canelo Alvarez Points NB Please do not edit selections. Any changes to be made by replying to original post. Thanks and good luck all
No all in bets allowed, they will be void but if you stake more than what's in your account you'll reduce it to the full amount of what's in our account. Gotcha I'll have a go at this, Ron
No saffy. I was fully aware of that and expected someone to pick up on it. So well done for being first. Just to explain, the subtle difference is that if you want to play that one you have to state an amount so, if the account is not updated quickly enough and you misjudge the balance you may or may not have anything left. When I record the bet I can simply record what you have stated. If you state "All in" I can't record the bet until I've got the accounts up to date. It's unlikely that I will be updating the accounts every single day as there are times when I don't have access to the internet or may simply be too busy. Banning "All in bets" makes it simpler for me. Hope that explains it.
Yes, Ron. From time to time you might be a lazy sod who can't be arsed to update the game. If we miscalculate because of your incompetence then that is on us. Loud and clear, mate
I see you said it isn't a comp Ron, but in a way it is. For me, it's what the POTY comp should have been like, although I can see how the monthly replenishments kept players interest going. Sign me up
