<laugh> Almost tempted to have a bet on that myself. Presumably, the rumour that White goes into the fight with a broken toe and dislocated shoulder are unfounded?

I've got balls the size of grapefruits Ron. Sevens on with a busted shoulder is nothing to me. <laugh>

<laugh> Told you he was an utter bounder, Ron. 1/7? What sort of bet is that? Follow the slick and slippery SwanHills with his once-in-three years 12/1 winner.............<whistle>

Ron, out of town tomorrow so would like following on the Cesarewitch (Newmarket 16:10) tomorrow. BetVictor go so big on it that it's worth a sporting e/w:

£50 e/w The Cashel Man (@20/1 with BetVictor).

    Thanks Ron. <ok>

Again I must take the time to pay homage to the grand master of the long, odds on bet, ArkleSupreme. Has there ever been such a man? <laugh>

I have just received notice from one of VBS's lawyers that under no circumstances should any speculation be allowed within the VBS as to why persons no longer post on not606. Consequently I cannot comment on the above post.

I have also been asked by the VBS manager to assure all current and potential account holders that VBS will never refuse or limit any bet provided there are sufficient funds in the account to cover the bet.

Didn't he have some kind of balls up with his account on the original 606 site? I can't remember how it happened, but if memory serves, the "puter" wouldn't let him log on, so he had to reverse the words. I have to confess though, that what I've just written Swanny, are the dim recollections from an old, feeble mind, so must be taken with a liberal dose of salt. :)

Yes, probably right, Cyc, but I am instructed by my lawyer to say nothing further on this subject, and to let him handle it.....<laugh>

Just a small bet on BJ Flores to beat Tony Bellew on Saturday. Bellew should win, but the price on the challenger is nice.

NetBet are offering 8-1. So just the 50 on Flores please Ron.

At the moment Ladbrokes are betting 2-1 Hartnell in the Cox Plate in Melbourne next Saturday. It was 5-2 a few days ago, so I thought I'd better take the 2-1 before it shortens even further. Can I have 250 the win please mate. <cheers>

I've done some analysis based on the effective decimal odds (ie return/stake) of each bet if anyone wants to know how they fare.

Well, wasn't going to bet today but suddenly noticed what a good chance a certain well-known horse has at Kempton today, especially after owner's comments, so will include a go at the VBS!

17:50 Kempton - £100 e/w Squire (@ the 9/1 available in a few places on Oddschecker atm). Thanks Ron.

(Had a similar 'real' bet, but slightly smaller - :emoticon-0100-smile).

Friday in the Manikato Stakes at the Valley, Bet365 and Sky Bet are offering 10-1 about Buffering. Can I please have a place bet on him at 5-2? If so I'll have 400 on him. An extra 1000 in the account would come in handy.

P.S. I was tempted to go each way but the quality of the field scared the crap out of me. Before he headed South for his last run where he was taken on by Ball Of Muscle over the 1000, and over raced, he nearly broke a course record in track work. As he'll probably get an easier lead this time, hopefully he'll be able to bowl along at a pace that'll better suit him. Finger's crossed. Just as well this is only play money. <laugh>
