On the up side, and going back to my earlier thread, there is a big ornamental park I cross diagonally on my way for a beer after work, and there are people sitting enjoying the evening sunshine, looking at the fountains.
And there are bunches of kids, anything from 7 to 17, not loitering and intimidating folks, but playing footie on the grass - - - - - and using Tee shirts for goal posts.
Life is sweet and there's hope yet!
