Hello ,
Firstly , a big thank you to all forum members for keeping us anonymous folk entertained and informed ..I make a note of looking in to this forum on a regular basis , but this is my first contribution .
I'm very much a lapsed Watford fan , although always make a point of listening to the Horns games on 3 Counties radio . Almost ashamed to say that I visited the Vic for the first time in nearly 30 years yesterday . The place has certainly changed . The years pass too swiftly .
I was lucky enough to be a 13 year old when Graham Taylor arrived and had a season ticket for the following 5 years or so . Yesterday's atmosphere was fantastic , reminiscent of those great games , like the league cup defeat of Notts Forest in 1980.
The singing section in the Rookery were amazing yesterday ...I was especially impressed when they belted out even more noise on Blackpool's second goal ( that first half was dire ) . Glad to hear "Elton John's Taylor made Army" is still a feature . Harry Hornet was very amusing and put a lot of energy into his performance .
Is there a song for the current manager and owners ? ..if not , perhaps it's time to put your thinking caps on .. I think they now deserve it . Come on you Horns !!
