I'm beginning to wonder if Hamilton has started his decline. In terms of raw pace this has been the least impressive season of his career.
I think the last two years are decent proof that the 2009-2016 regulations had a pretty positive effect on the racing.

This race is usually one of the highlights of the season, but today its no better than Monaco.

Possibly, or this seasons car is just not to his tastes all round. Something is up definitely as in a few races this year he's been not much short of dire.

However, if/when he loses his championship lead I'm certain his pace will pick up as that's the way he seems to work.

so hamilton tries his best lap after lap but cant get close then 4 laps to go.mercedes grudgingly allow him a scrap of engine.

I HATE this era of f1.

this has been a bloody dull race

This is the problem with F1. Lewis is a lot quicker but can’t get close due to the dirty air.

There’s invisible force fields around the cars.

Can't remember a more boring Canadian Grand Prix.... maybe I've wiped them from memory.

Vettel was in a league of his own today. Absolutely supreme!

I can see why Ricciardo wants to be team mates with Hamilton. He is quite easy to beat on some weekends

Ferrari need to do a RBR, get brave and stick Leclerc in the car next season. He’s beginning to consistently outperform the car, and Kimi (love him though I do) is shot, and has been for two seasons.

I think a team mate like Ricciardo would bring out the best in Hamilton's driving tbh.
