He has proved his management ability but I have no time for him as a person.

They might not want him in particular, just some managerial stability.

I think he's done a really good job since the summer when he began to build the team he wants to put out and play his style of football.

It's still too early to judge just yet as we are still only 7 games into 38.

I'd hope he can pull open Mike's purse in January and strengthen certain areas of the squad with an additional striker and perhaps Pieters.

I'll judge him at the end of the season overall but the start has been top class so far.

Doing a great job and the team is steadily improving becoming a difficult team to beat. Would like to see him and the team develop over the next couple of years. Newcastle has had its most successful teams when a manager has been given time KK 1st time round and SBR.

Depends on definition of years. As I have stated earlier I don't think you can judge someone properly until they've had about three years in a job. Unless it is blatantly obvious that he is either useless or just an ill fit for the club. Now I wouldn't say I want him here for 10 years but I don't see the point of appointing him unless you are going to give him 3 years. He doesn't appear to be either of the two categories I mentioned for getting rid quickly so we ned to show patience and support for me. We've been way too hasty in both appointing and sacking managers, its held us back for years in my book. (cost a small fortune to boot) Look at Alex Ferguson. He wouldn't have made it at Man U if they had followed the trends of today, he would have been sacked. Patience is a virtue that is quickly becoming lost on the trigger happy owners of today.

It's the wording. I'd have voted 'he's done a good job and hopefully will get a few years', my options are 'great/stay forever' or 'good/bring someone else in'. Top option looked more appropriate.

I will admit I was cynical when he came in and said "I hope he proves me wrong" - and I think he has.

Took a while to warm to him after the easily likeable Hughton, but that celebration on the touchline at the Arsenal game for the equaliser started helping me to get behind him a bit. Now he just seems to speak sense, and although he got some stick in the transfer window for all the "over the line" talk, I still think he was being genuine. He got screwed over as much as we did.

I voted "To early to form an opinion, I'll judge at the end of the season" but I would have liked a variation of "Done a great job and like to see him here for years"

Something like "Doing a good job so far and would like to see him do well for years to come"

Mainly due to the fact that I'm not particularly bothered who is in charge (within reason) as long as they are doing well, I have no like or dislike toward Pardew because if I was offered a job like the Newcastle managers job I'd have taken it too. I would like him to try and say Newcastle rather than Newcarstle but other than this keep it up .....
