Amazing times. Unfortunately for me, these memorable events were going on during my 'wilderness years' as a Charlton fan. Between 1985 and 1995 I was working very hard for my first small company. I really threw myself into it, working weekends and very long hours (sometimes right through the night) and it took me away from SE7. Even after things settled down for me and I changed jobs, for many years my old neighbourhood and Charlton Athletic were not big parts of my life. I only really came back to it at the end of the Premiership days. I envy all of you fans who were a part of the exile years and the battle to return to the Valley. Though I'm sure it was a hard slog for a long time, the eventual victory means all CAFC supporters will forever be in your debt.
