I didn't want to derail my world cup friendlies thread, right, my view on the situation, Valencia had every right to react the way he did especially after what happened to him 4 years ago against Rangers, Sterling could've broke his leg, that's what Valencia went apesh(i)t on him.

Disgusting challenge from that little scouse **** Sterling. Because he's got deformed legs, he feels the need to try and do the same to others. It's ashame Valencia didn't just smack him square in the face:biggrin:

Always a Liverpool player that brings the game into disrepute, he should be kicked out of the WC

Liverpool players cracking under the first hint of pressure again. Should we trust them in the World Cup?

We won't be playing San Marino. All our games will be tough so flat-track bullying will not work

No one....ever...has the right to react like that on a football field, all it managed to do was get them both sent off.
Pathetic from both players really....Sterling for the tackle (which was dreadful) and Valencia for the reaction.
Glad they both had an early bath.

If the roles were reversed you'd be saying Valencia was right to try and finish the job he started 4 years ago

All this proves to me is the mental calls to give Sterling a starting place in the world cup are exactly that, mental.

He should be a sub to try to change a game when others legs are a bit weary, nothing more. He's a bit young and impetuous to be replacing Rooney just yet and that's not taking into account he's not even good enough yet.

Sterling at ten = non starter.

As for the tackle, an unnecessary rush of blood to the head which warranted a yellow. Valencia's over reaction turned it to red, the ref made the correct call in the end.

tbh Ruff, I think with Oxlade Chamberlain looking like he's crocked then Sterling will be in the starting line up for the duration of the World Cup.

Wish Valencia would show that much desire to do anything in a United shirt.

I can't see it myself. He'll start with Lallana and Welbeck wide and Rooney behind Sturridge IMO.

I hope not, I'd prefer Milner or Sterling ahead of Welbeck personally as it's more balanced but you could be right.

I also think he'll go with this. He should too.

As someone said though, possibly Milner instead of Welbeck if he's going cautious.

    Which, of course, he will.

    What do you mean?

  17. Sterling has got no chance with Woy in charge, no chance at all. Not that I'm complaining, keeps him fresh for Liverpool #keyplayer

How come? Just because Woy is so **** he cant see the kids potential? Or do you think he purposefully discriminates against the boy for some reason?
