Ibe starts. Confirmed team Reina, Johnson, Enrique, Carragher, Skrtel, Lucas, Henderson, Downing, Ibe, Coutinho, Sturridge. Subs: Jones, Wisdom, Coady, Coates, Suso, Assaidi, Borini Thought Downing might have been given a rest and Assaidi given a try. Wisdom as well, could have done with a run out given the form he's shown this season.
4-5-1 then with Coutinho behind Sturridge. Not sure we'll see the best of Hendo in that role, but we'll see. Really odd team choice imo; Ibe ahead of Borini, Suso and Assaidi. Hopefully he makes the most of the chance and puts his name in the frame for next season.
Ibe, very similar type of player to Sterling. Possibly not quite as quick, bit a bit stronger. Be good to see how he get's on.
Queens Park Rangers team to face Liverpool. Green; Harriman, Onuoha, Hill, Traore; Park, Derry, M'Bia, Townsend; Zamora, Remy. SUBS: Murphy, Ehmer, Fabio, Granero, Hoilett, Mackie & Bothroyd. - A first start for right-back Michael Harriman is the stand-out team news for Q.P.R. Loic Remy starts after being bailed after his arrest during the week. No Julio Cesar in the squad as Robert Green takes the goalkeeper's gloves.
I've seen loads of Ibe in the reserves etc. VERY, VERY promising young player, perfect game to see how he does in the first team. Like IBWT said - bit like Sterling but stronger, loves to take his man on and has plenty of tricks in his locker. Not sure what the fuss is about Suso, he's too similar to Coutinho but no where near as good, infact Coutinho is in a completely different league to Suso. Suso Lacks that positive mental attitude in my opinion. A loan out next season is what Suso could do with....might just come back with a pair of bollocks.
Is it me or does today feel a bit like an anti-climax? Apart from Arsenal & Spurs game, no one else is really plaing for anything. Considering a month ago we were saying how the last day could have 3 or 4 teams battling to stay up and us playing to get ahead of Everton and into Europa (something neither team will get thanks to Wigan's win anyway) all seems a bit dull now. Still amazes me that Sunderland, currently in 17th, could win and go 11th today. Crazy league.
Yeah big anti-climax. I'll be watching our game of course - but keeping a very close eye on the fight for 4th. I hope Arsenal do it - purely because HIAG is probably the biggest TWAT in internet forum history.
