I think mercedes wants the title race to go on a little longer...why would you not pit Hamilton with almost 18 seconds lead, have him come.out 2nd behind Kimi with fresher tyres, but wait til the lead was reduced to just over 7 seconds with few laps to go? Strangest strategy ive ever seen.
I didn't think it was the tv for a start. I thought it was someone taking the piss out of me watching.
I don't think Senna was ever more full of **** than when he came out with that "if you no longer for for a gap that exists..." line. Responding to any adversity by going kamikaze on lap one is not being a "true racer", it's being an idiot. With the straight line speed of that Ferrari i don't think he was going to get stuck behind Ricciardo for 30 laps. But yeah i think it was the right decision for Seb to have a go this time, it's different to Monza or Suzuka, just the execution was a bit lacking. Ricciardo is entitled to try and stay on the outside and left acres of space. Looked to me like Seb slide a bit and catching it took him into Daniel.
Yep this would have been an easy win for him. Has there ever been a driver who has messed up this Badly?
He really looks like he's lost a bit of his mojo. Maybe it's just a confidence thing. He'll bounce back.
He had to do thre same thing in all 3 incidents, he couldn't let Hamilton beat him in Monza, he had to take Verstappen quickly in Japan, same with Ricciardo here, in all 3 it could've been th ecomplete oppoisitie, and none of them were kamikazi, (although saying that, any move on Verstappen is kamikazi as he's the dirtiest driver I've seen in F1)
Vettel has been nowhere near Max's stupidity. His timing and decision making is just a little off. Max is just effing stupid. I honestly think Vettel is just going through a rough patch. He's just gotta get over it.If he can stay ahead of Leclerc next season, that might be the thing that fires him up again.
Nah, he just inexplicitly had it in for Massa that year. I heard Massa ran over his dog. Totally understandable.
